Without thinking further about it, Rygar continued reading. Just like him now, Oldgar also realized that his strength was still insufficient.
The next accounts and paragraphs marked a major change in his daily life — Oldgar no longer worried about ruling the Kingdom of Gaia nor about the most important matters.
From that point in his life, he had transferred all responsibility to other trusted people.
He still kept his presence with the family, mainly dedicating time to his children whenever possible, but all that remained of his free time was spent on incessant training.
It was years — decades — in which he shaped himself as a warrior. During that time, the world did not stop.
In the distant Kingdom of Asura, Queen Ariel had taken the throne with the support of the Mage God, Rudeus Greyrat, strengthening Orsted's influence over that territory.
Oldgar wrote that the machinations of the God-Man never ceased. There were countless attempts at ambushes, conspiracies, assassins, traps and planned battles meant to bring him to death.
However, he survived them all with the help of two weapons the God-Man could not counter.
His Sixth Sense, which became so absurd that it turned into an almost divine tool, and Verdia's Future Sight, which allowed him to foresee crucial events.
That part of his life was like navigating a rough sea, surrounded by storms and giant waves, yet still managing to keep the ship afloat.
And it was amid that constant survival that he finally invented the Celestial Sealing; from then on, he was out of Hitogami's sight.
Among the records after that, there was an extensive text that told of the direct challenge of the Fighter God against the Beast God.
The battle that followed was devastating, razing a vast portion of the Great Forest and extending to reach territories of the Demon Continent.
Both were tireless and almost immortal, trading blows incessantly. The clash of their powers was so violent that it shaped the landscape, turning forests to ash and mountain ranges to ruins.
Finally, Oldgar described how he achieved victory: he managed to separate the Fighter God from his armor, depriving him of his main source of power.
He described it as the hardest victory of his life, achieved with blood and destruction, but which solidified even more his position as the Apocalypse Beast.
And despite being such a brutal fight, Oldgar still mentioned that he had a lot of fun in the battle.
The following years gave him no rest.
The Greyrat family, on the other side of the world, had been consolidated as subordinates of Orsted, the Dragon God, and were progressing in their own way.
And then came the worst. Oldgar recorded a battle against the most dangerous alliance he had faced until then: the Technique God united with the Armored Dragon King Perugius Dola.
The fight was a massacre on both sides. He wrote that, if he had not mastered the God-Level Healing Magic and programmed its automatic trigger for the exact moment of his death, that would have been the end of the Beast God.
But he was already too powerful, and he managed to win in the end.
It was after that bitter victory that everything began to crumble.

"Day 14.768:
After finally managing to kill that damned Technique God, I turned against the one who aided him.
I invaded Khaos Breaker without hesitation and destroyed Perugius Dola. I killed his spirits, disintegrated his arm, and did not even leave ashes that could carry his memory. I burned him to the core with the annihilating flames of Doomsday. Nothing remained thanks to the consuming flames of the Blade of the Apoclipse.
Day 14.812:
Today, the Dragon God Orsted invaded the Kingdom of Gaia.
He came to my residence to find me, and since I was not present, Jino confronted him with everything he had. But it was impossible to win. Still, Jino resisted until I arrived.
When I returned, I found the Dragon God different from any previous time: he was furious.
It was not the usual calculated coldness, he was simply angry, like any normal person.
And seeing him that way, I involuntarily felt very happy.
Orsted asked me, bluntly, why I had destroyed Perugius Dola. Obviously I gave him no explanations.
We launched into a total battle.
The strength of the Kingdom of Gaia was already monstrous; even I was a difficult opponent for the Dragon God to defeat. And I was not alone.
Jino, Aisha, Eris and several other warriors fought at my side. Little by little, we pushed Orsted toward his eventual defeat.
And then he retreated. Before leaving, he called me a fool. He said I had destroyed the only way to reach Hitogami.
Oldgar's Note:
Yes, you have probably already imagined. Perugius Dola carried within him one of the Sacred Artifacts necessary to reach the Empty World. I only discovered this some time later. Keep reading… this is one of the most deplorable stories of my life.
Day 14.913:
Since our "victory" against the Dragon God, the entire kingdom is taken by euphoria. Everyone celebrates as if we had reached an irreversible milestone.
Aisha has already begun to draw plans to completely overthrow the Dragon God's faction and kill him.
I ended up discovering the reason for Orsted's ire. I destroyed Perugius Dola and, along with him, one of the Five Sacred Artifacts that were necessary to reach Hitogami.
Was that bad? Should I be worried? Maybe. But it was not as serious as it seemed.
After all, Magic is omnipotent. If an Artifact could be created once, nothing prevents me from creating another in the future.
Recently, I completed a truly special magic, the God-Level Healing Magic — Rejuvenation.
A spell that surpasses the limits of the body, returning vitality and vigor. The first to receive it was Eris.
I will never forget her smile as she recovered her youthful strength.
Her muscles were vivid and her whole body radiated energy. She boasted of being faster than ever.
However, I noticed a limit. Each person can only receive this spell a few times in their life. We do not yet know the exact number, but it is already enough for Eris to live centuries — perhaps millennia.
Day 15.012:
We explored what remained of the old residence of the Technique God. I found only ruins and ashes.
It was evident that he maintained a huge library, perhaps containing the secrets of lost eras, but everything was destroyed. A pity. That knowledge was lost forever.
Day 17.879:
Time passed. Some familiar faces no longer exist… but those who are important to me, I give them the opportunity to Rejuvenate with Magic. Jino and Nina kept their youth in this way.
Orsted changed his conduct. He seems to have given up his goal of killing Hitogami, which is very strange considering his obsession.
Instead, he is dedicating himself only to gathering information; he seems to be trying to know everything about the world, even the simplest things.
Even his relationship with the Greyrat Family deteriorated. And it was in this relaxation that we found a breach.
Day 17.885:
Today, we finally tracked down Rudeus Greyrat. We ambushed him before he could escape.
He was studying a Return Time Magic. It did not matter. The important thing was that, this time, he did not escape.
Day 17.890:
We interrogated Rudeus Greyrat.
Everything we have done until today... was in vain.
Rudeus revealed that Orsted's Time Loop will inevitably erase our existence.
What can make the Loop end is the death of Hitogami, but that is impossible.
That is because I, in my arrogance, destroyed one of the Sacred Treasures necessary to reach the God-Man.
Rudeus was not trying to save himself; he would already be dead when the Loop restarted, he only wanted to save his family.
First, he was trying to replicate that Sacred Treasure, but he would not have enough time to complete it. So he turned his attention to Return Time Magic.
When I showed that I was willing to try the same, he told me everything he knew, hiding nothing.
And then… that man, an enemy of a lifetime, knelt before me. He begged. He cried. He asked for only one thing:
"I know that my sins against you are irreversible, but please, save my family."
And Aisha killed him shortly after.
Day 20.203:
The years keep piling up. One of my children married a descendant of Rudeus. Two of our daughters also became best friends.
Fate seems to enjoy weaving ironic ties for us, even after so much time of hatred.
The records left by Rudeus have been useful. Through them, we consolidated knowledge that would be difficult to obtain alone. Locations of ancient ruins and knowledge of the Dragon God.
We came to the conclusion that it is not possible to create a replica of a Sacred Treasure in the time we have left until the Loop arrives.
Orsted disappeared. He has not shown his face for many years. Desperate to escape inevitable extinction, I reached the point of resorting to Hitogami himself.
He, upon learning about the Loops, was also anxious to save his own skin and decided to help me in a truce; he provided me with valuable information.
I did not tell all my children about the erasure. The threat of imminent extinction still hangs over us. Only those of us who can help in the research know.
Day 21.029:
Perhaps there is a way to stop the Loop.
I need Laplace's Sacred Treasure for that. If I can take Orsted away from this world, maybe I can kill the Dragon God without activating the time mechanism.
It's a gamble, but it's the only one left.
Alternatively, we are completing Time Travel Magic. If we do not succeed, that will be our last hope.
Day 28.798:
Laplace was reborn. His army rose before we could even react. My descendants took the lead, commanding the forces of the Continent of Gaia to contain him.
The Fighter God's Armor was stolen and is being used by the enemy.
In the early stages of the Laplace War, I limited myself to observing.
I wanted to see if Orsted would somehow intervene. But he remained absent.
With that confirmed, I waited no longer. I threw myself into the war and killed Laplace. I tore his soul and took for myself the Sacred Treasure he carried.
And then I destroyed it. To forge something new.
An item capable of opening a door out of this world.
Day 29.948:
Hitogami somehow discovered my other plans. But it is too late.
Time Travel Magic is complete and perfectly functional.
My daughter — the one who carries the largest amount of mana that has ever existed — is the one who will be sent.
As for me, I will embark on the greatest gamble of my life as soon as she activates the Magic.
If I fail, all that I lived, all the sacrifices, all the victories and defeats, will cease to exist as if nothing were real.
I hope that you, from the past, achieve what I could not.
May you succeed where I failed.
Oldgar's Note: This is the end of the account. It was a troubled life, as you can see.
I sincerely consider myself invincible in single combat. But who would have thought that, in the end, strength alone was not capable of solving everything in this world.
Strength will not help me prevent my reality from being rewritten.
I think that, if I have one piece of advice I can give you with absolute certainty, Youngar, it is that power is very important, but there are simply things that are not meant to be defeated.
I can cut through Space-Time, but I cannot cut through the entire dimension.
This was the longest part of the book. You will probably consult it a few more times.
Next, the final part is a summary of all the suggestions and techniques we managed to think of that would be useful, and we also have some personal requests that we ask you to take into consideration.
---
Finally, the account ended.
Rygar stopped counting how many hours he had spent reading that book.
All he knew was that he could not stop reading — not while that story continued to reveal itself before him.
It was a sad story.
A life of resistance and relentless battles, facing enemies that seemed endless, surpassing limits that no one would even imagine.
Oldgar fought Gods, Emperors, Dragons, monsters and even destiny itself. All to achieve his goals.
And, in the end, for what?
Only to discover that none of it would survive.
Oldgar's life was nothing less than tragic, as were the lives of those who were by his side and knew the truth.
Companions who remained at his side even already knowing that tomorrow might not exist. Wives, children, friends and disciples who lived alongside him.
Until then, although there were losses, betrayals and tragedies, it was still life.
It was still possible to believe that, given enough time, he would become strong enough to kill Hitogami, to kill Orsted.
Oldgar believed that.
And Rygar now believed it too.
But who would have thought that time would not be given?
No, he would not have the time he was due.
Orsted had chained the entire existence of the world to his obsession with killing Hitogami.
From beginning to end, everything was only pieces on the board of a cycle that repeated without end.
Rygar frowned. He thought about everything Oldgar had written. He thought about the image that formed of each of those two gods.
Orsted and Hitogami.
Orsted, even having created bonds of true loyalty and friendship, in the end, nothing would be saved, no one, for all would be erased along with him.
Rudeus Greyrat, for example, lived well, built a family, found peace as a subordinate of the Dragon God… but when Orsted lost hope, would they all not be eliminated as well? How could Rudeus leave such a future for his descendants?
Hitogami, on the other hand, malicious, manipulative, crafty to the last thread of his existence. But at least… he was not hypocritical with those who knew him; he helped his apostles and also screwed them over.
There was no lie when he promised help for a high price.
Even some who knew his true nature still felt gratitude toward him.
Rygar closed the book slowly and shut his eyes for a few moments.
It was hard to decide who was more despicable between the two Deities.
When he stood up, Rygar felt his body a little stiff from so much time motionless.
He needed another break.
He went to the same training room as before.
There, at least, everything was simple, without riddles or Time Loops.
That was what he needed now. Train to relax his mind.
And, above all… train because Rygar had no intention of repeating the same fate.
