After the competition, we played bowling for some more time. Scott was nailing it by scoring full points and Jackson defeated sighed in disappointment. Nick and Beth split from the group and went away to spend some time together.
Nick got some drinks and burgers from McDonald's and drove towards the cliff in the preserve overlooking the Beacon Hills city. They sat on the hood of the car and started having burger enjoying the night view of the city.
"Beth, I want to say something." Nick said seriously
"Uh, what is it?" Beth asked curiously seeing Nick was serious.
"Actually, I wasn't exactly forthcoming about why left New York." Nick said in a guilty expression.
"Oh, it's okay. Everyone is entitled to have their own secrets." Beth said with a smile.
"Yes, but I want you to still tell you." Nick said seriously.
"Okay." Beth said with a curious smile waiting for his explanation. Nick seeing her expression, starts to say about what happened in New York last year. After listening to story, Beth looked at him weirdly and said
"Nick, I know you are a writer. But seriously, a werewolf. You really have good imagination." Beth replied feigning ignorance.
Nick gave a smile seeing her trying to feign ignorance about the supernatural and then slowly flashed his bright red eyes and his teeth and nails started extending followed by growing hair on the side of his cheeks. Beth was shocked this time that he was serious but soon calmed down.
"Beth, if you are trying to feign ignorance about super natural. You should at least show fear in your eyes." Nick said in a teasing tone exposing her inner thoughts.
"You know." Beth asked this time genuinely shocked that her secrets out and continues to say
"That I am a witch." Simultaneously, Nick also says
"I know that you are a banshee."
This time Nick was the who got surprised as he asked
"Witch? I thought you were a banshee."
"Well, I am both." Beth says in a nonchalant manner.
"How did you know?" Beth continues to ask curiously
"I saw you finding the body of Garrison Meyers. Is your mom also a witch?" Nick replied with a smile
"Yes, wait, was that you outside our house last night?" Beth questions back thinking about that day's incident.
Nick nods his head and smiles as he says
"I was following you to make sure you reached home safe."
"Well, now I have got a werewolf stalker, that too an alpha." Beth teases him while nick replies with smug smile
"True alpha." Beth raises her eyebrow to that with a smile and we continue to eat with a comfortable silence between us.
After spending some together, Nick dropped her at her residence and went back home.
OBERON RESIDENCE
"Mom, Dad, Nick is an Alpha. And he was the one who you felt staring yesterday night." Beth revealed the news to her parents.
"What? How did you know?" Joanne asked worried about her daughter.
"He told me. And I also told him about us. Well, he knew that I am banshee and I told him that I was also a witch." Beth replied to her questioning.
"Oh, bring that boy here for dinner tomorrow. It's time we also get to know him." Aaron said in a serious tone.
WALKER RESIDENCE
"Hey, Mom, Dad, how did the adoption process?" Nick asked entering the hall.
"Well, there are some more paperwork left. But it's official. She is your sister." Katherine said in a kind and affectionate tone.
Nick also nodded his head with a satisfied smile and then he knelt before her to match her height. He extended his hand towards her as he said
"Hi, we have not officially introduced ourselves. I am Nicholas Walker, your big brother. What's your name?"
She looked at me for a moment leaving my hand in the air. As I was about to retract it awkwardly, she slid her small hands into mine as we shook hands while she replied in a low voice
"Luna…Luna Walker."
Nick smiles at how introduced herself. He stood up and riffled her hair as he walked towards his room. Luna growled at him for messing up her hair while he felt an angry death glare coming from his mom. He promptly dashed towards his room before she exploded.
EVENING, NEXT DAY, WALKER RESIDENCE
"Mom, I am going out. I am taking Luna with me." Nick said in a determined tone.
"Son, isn't it too soon?" Katherine asked worried.
"No, Mom. She has been in wilderness for the past 6 years. She has forgot how to be human. Actually, she has not experienced been a human. Sooner she understands, the better." Nick said in a resolute tone.
"Okay." Katherine said in a sigh as she turned to Luna and continues to say seriously
"When you are out, you should listen to your brother. If you have any doubt, you should ask him. Don't be shy, okay?" Katherine said in a kind, caring and firm tone. Then she turned to Nick as she looked at him seriously and said
"You should be careful and look after your sister."
"I know, mom." Nick replied steadfastly and then he extended his hand towards Luna. Luna held his hand as they walked as Zach yelled
"Wait, I am coming." And followed them. Nick took his wrangler and they went to the city. After going to various places in the city, they stopped to get something to eat.
While waiting for food, they met Beth with her family. Beth seeing them, came to their table.
"Hey." Beth greeted them.
"Hey, family rime?" Nick asked with a smile.
"Yeah, and you? Are you out with your parents?" Beth asked
"No, I brought these two out to have some fun." Nick said pointing at them and then continued to introduce to them
"This is my brother, Zack. This is my sister, Luna."
Zack nodded his head to her and Nick suggested to Luna kindly
"Luna, say hi to big sister Beth."
Luna just looked at her intensely without saying anything while Beth smiled at her as he rubbed Luna's head.
As soon as Beth touched Luna, their consciousness was brought to a separate place. It was pitch black around them, Luna scared moved towards Beth feeling uneasy, Beth tried to find away out when a Bright red eye stared back at them, Luna shivered feeling that person's stare filled with bloodlust.
Feeling the bloodlust and death stare of that person, they both couldn't take it as they fell unconscious. Nick who was quick on his feet, held both of them before they hit their head on the floor.
"Zack, take Luna." Nick said seriously as he lifted Beth. Seeing Beth unconscious, her family came to us worried.
"I will take them to the hospital. You should follow me." Nick said seriously as he got in the wrangler with Zack. Beth's parent nodded their head as they followed me to the hospital in their car.
