"It wasn't just him," he said, and I looked at him, curiosity flickering in my eyes. "Everyone you're close with, they came here to visit you every single day. Your parents kept talking to you, even though you're still unconscious. Your friends, including your housemates, always brought a fresh bouquet of flowers whenever they came. The day-shift workers would stop by after their shifts ended. And even a dog came here all on its own—just walked right in to see you."
I blinked, surprised. "Moonlight? How did he get here?"
He chuckled softly. "Don't worry about the dog, your parents have been taking care of it since the hospital doesn't allow dogs. I just don't know how that dog managed to get inside, honestly. Oh, and there's also this really weird guy with an IV hanging from his arm. I thought he escaped from a mental hospital at first, but it turns out he actually knows you. His friend does, too, and they check on you from time to time."
