Time is a butcher's knife; many things inevitably wear out the more you use them.
That's why things turn black... purple... soft... and so on.
But for Su Ye, after obtaining the Time Stone, time had already stopped for him.
Melanin accumulation or anything like that—just a simple time spell and it fades away instantly. Extremely convenient.
So, there was never any dark forces—only pink forces from the beginning to the end.
Chaotic yet harmless. As Gwen and Mai Shiranui would say, it's actually kind of cute.
Sanosi had never seen anything like this before. Before she even came of age, her planet was gone.
For thousands of years, she had wandered the universe like a lonely ghost, striving for her ideals—no companions, only subordinates.
And she didn't think much of those subordinates.
Ebony Maw, Black Dwarf—In Sanosi's eyes, they were no different from golden retrievers or Labradors.
If you were a girl, would you cuddle your male golden retriever at night and then… do that?
Maybe there are some weirdos in the world who like to try new things and don't mind the fur.
But Thanos was definitely not one of them.
Just like how Sanosi was obsessed with Death, one of the five great creation gods—at the very least, it had to be someone like Hela, the Goddess of Death from Asgard.
For Sanosi, if someone wanted to dominate her, they had to prove their strength first.
Before, she had never met anyone this arrogant.
But today, she did.
When Su Ye pinned Sanosi's hand against the wall, she suddenly realized—she was still a woman, with weaknesses and flaws, needing to be subdued.
Marvel's superheroes, in fact, were quite uninhibited.
When the atmosphere was right, they wouldn't hesitate to fire at each other.
Being in such an environment, Su Ye naturally followed the local customs. Facing Sanosi, the cover girl, he didn't hesitate—he became Yu the Great.
Opposite him, Sanosi seemed like one of the Seven Fairies in the Peach Garden, pinned in place by Sun Wukong.
"You said you wanted to play a game with me? How many rounds?"
…..
No one knew how much time had passed before Su Ye suddenly let out a breath, looked down, and smiled.
"This round, I won!"
Sanosi wasn't the type to be bad at a game yet addicted. In fact, though she was a beginner, she adapted quickly. Su Ye played one round, but she didn't lose by much.
At most, it was just 1:3.
"This round was just luck. If we play a few more, I'll definitely turn the tables!"
Sanosi shouted, unwilling to accept defeat.
Su Ye sighed helplessly.
That's the problem with beginners—they always think they lost due to lack of experience and believe that if they play a few more rounds, they'll surely turn the tide.
They didn't realize—in gaming, especially in a game like Canyon Conquest—many men were born gifted players.
Whether it's one round or several, the final result wouldn't change.
Canyon Conquest is a great game—a perfect time killer.
By the time Sanosi finally realized the gap in skill between herself and Su Ye, and stopped insisting that playing a few more rounds would change the outcome, several Earth days had already passed.
Time flew by like a fleeting horse.
Oh, and Su Ye's horse was pink.
"So? Still want to play the Canyon game?"
In the starry space, Su Ye asked in a relaxed tone.
Opposite him, Sanosi no longer had that composed and overbearing aura she had when she first appeared. She was still standing, but visibly exhausted, as if she might collapse at any moment.
Hearing Su Ye's words, she almost fell straight to the ground.
"The canyon is almost a basin now, and you still want to continue?"
Su Ye's forehead was filled with black lines—so this was really the difference between a girl and a woman?
If it were a girl, and you told her a risqué joke, she would either not understand it or pretend not to.
But if it were a woman, her jokes might be even dirtier than yours.
"I meant this!"
Su Ye pointed into the distant starry sky at the space canyon that Sanosi had created—oh no, it was actually a few days ago.
"This Canyon game—do you still want to play it?"
Hearing Su Ye's words, Thanos' eyes widened. "Of course, I still want to play! I'm an expert at this game—you better not think I'll lose to you so easily again!"
Su Ye chuckled and didn't say anything.
Anyway, both sides' heroes were already in position. After three days of delay, if they didn't start soon, those superheroes might grow mold.
"Then let's get this started!"
As they had agreed before, the heroes were selected randomly. Soon, ten heroes appeared in the distant space canyon.
Since the selection was random, the chances of overlapping roles were high.
On Sanosi's side, they ended up with three assassins and two marksmen.
On Su Ye's side, there were two mages, one marksman, and two supports.
All ten heroes were fragile.
Due to the Canyon battle mechanics, the abilities of all heroes had been modified with buffs and nerfs.
For example, on Su Ye's side, the marksman was Hawkeye.
In a normal battlefield, if the director didn't deliberately give him screen time, a player of Hawkeye's caliber might not even be able to defeat a super minion.
A random group of vanguard soldiers could easily swarm him and tear him apart.
But under the Canyon game mechanics, Hawkeye's abilities were greatly enhanced. As long as he had the right gear, he could hold his own against a mid-lane mage like Hela.
On a normal battlefield, if you let Hawkeye try to poke at Hela, see what happens.
With both sides consisting of fragile heroes and an unbalanced lineup, it was hard to say who would have the last laugh.
On Sanosi's side, if the three assassins managed to get ahead, Su Ye's mages and marksman wouldn't even dare to leave their defense tower—stepping out would mean instant death.
However, Su Ye's two mages had crowd control and AOE (area-of-effect) abilities—if they focused fire, the three assassins on the opposing side would also be in trouble.
In the end, it all came down to which side played better.
As the battle progressed, Su Ye began hearing complaints from the superheroes on his team.
"What kind of ridiculous game mechanics is this? Hela got easily slain by Wolverine? This is an insult to Asgard's honor!"
Seeing Hela get assassinated by Wolverine in a sneak attack, Loki was the first to protest.
Even though Loki had turned into a female form, her loyalty to Asgard had only grown stronger.
After all, this female body was no longer a Frost Giant's core, but fully Asgardian, inside and out.
