"A season? What, what do you mean?"
Sanosi was somewhat confused about Su Ye's meaning and couldn't help but ask.
Su Ye directly raised one finger, "It's just a season, three months, 90 days. Of course, it's not absolute; as long as the timing is roughly right."
"And then...?"
Sanosi's eyebrows twitched wildly. Am I asking about the length of a season? I'm asking about the purpose of this—why a whole season? Is it necessary?
We could just each pick five people, play a quick match, and decide the winner in one round. Why all this nonsense?!
Su Ye understood Sanosi's point and immediately refused.
"Of course not! Since it's a game, we have to consider balance. Each hero has different abilities, different mechanics. If we just randomly throw them in, it's easy for mistakes in hero selection or extreme imbalance to lead to inaccurate results."
"If that's the case, we might as well just fight right here. Whoever surrenders last becomes the ruler, winner takes all, and the loser loses everything."
Sanosi thought for a moment and nodded.
"You have a point. If it's so troublesome, why don't we just…"
"Hey!"
Su Ye suddenly exploded, shouting in anger.
"What are you even saying?! We are both cosmic overlords—our words are like spilled water, unchangeable! If we said we'd play a game, then we play the game no matter what. Otherwise, wouldn't that be slapping ourselves in the face?"
"T-T-Tai Tai (Madam), you wouldn't want—cough! My bad, I got used to saying that. What I mean is, you wouldn't want your identity and honor as a cosmic overlord to be tarnished, right? You wouldn't want your subordinates to look down on you for breaking your word, right?!"
Sanosi shook his head. "Doesn't matter, they wouldn't dare!"
"Heh… Tui!" (spitting in disdain)
Su Ye sneered. "This isn't about whether they dare! This is a question of reputation!"
"What…?"
Sanosi frowned.
Su Ye explained calmly. "Reputation—credibility and honor. What? Is my accent that heavy?"
Sanosi pressed her lips together. "It's credibility. Repeat after me: 'cred…'"
"That's not important!"
Su Ye waved his hand dismissively. "What matters is that you live up to your status as a leader! Even if they don't dare, wouldn't you look down on yourself? Aren't you afraid that I will look down on you?"
Sanosi shot Su Ye a kingly look of disdain, wanting to say, "Who do you think you are?" But after glancing at the gauntlet and six stones on Su Ye's hand, she decided to keep quiet.
"Ugh, fine—so troublesome. Just tell me what you want to do!"
Su Ye clapped his hands. "You should've listened to me earlier. Such a simple thing, yet you made it so complicated."
"Alright, let's do this. You and I on opposite sides—two natural factions. You're the Scourge, I'm the Sentinel. No problem, right?"
Sanosi shook her head. "I'm the Sentinel! You are the Scourge! Your whole family is the Scourge!"
Su Ye immediately got angry. "You're the one causing trouble everywhere, killing half the people at random across the universe, and now you have the nerve to call me the Scourge? What have I done? Stolen your treasure? Taken your money?"
Sanosi glanced at Su Ye sideways. "It's not that I look down on you, but with your build, I doubt you have what it takes!"
"Heh!" Su Ye chuckled. "If you had Surtur's build, I'd let that slide. But looking like this, you dare say that? Even an elephant wouldn't talk to me like that, you know!"
"An elephant?" Sanosi scoffed. "It's not that I look down on you, but are you even using your brain?"
"Huff!"
Su Ye let out a breath and shook his head slowly.
"At this stage, we're about to wrap things up, so I wasn't planning to mess around anymore. But since you're so fearless, I can't just ignore you. Besides, you are the cover character, after all."
"What do you mean?"
Sanosi sensed something was off and was about to fight back when Su Ye's gauntlet grabbed onto hers.
The Infinity Stones have counteracting properties. If two of them are placed together without any measures, their powers will cancel each other out. That's why the Infinity Gauntlet exists—to neutralize the conflicts between the stones and allow them to coexist peacefully.
This canceling effect also applies when two gauntlets come into contact.
So, when Su Ye's gauntlet grasped Sanosi's hand, the power of both gauntlets was instantly neutralized, turning them into mere decorative gloves.
At the same time, Su Ye lunged forward, ramming into Sanosi.
Without the power of the Infinity Stones, the two could only rely on their own physical abilities to fight.
At this point, attributes like technique, endurance, and strength became even more critical.
Sanosi was very tall—though not as tall as Thanos (the male version)—but still over two meters. Among women, she could be considered a giant.
Su Ye, however, was also over 190 cm, not much shorter than Sanosi, but far more muscular. With just one charge, he knocked Sanosi to the ground.
After that, Sanosi was unable to get up again.
As a cosmic overlord, Thanos was undeniably powerful, even without the gauntlet and Infinity Stones.
After all, Thanos (the male version) was the only character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who could directly touch an Infinity Stone without suffering noticeable side effects. He even held one in his fist and punched Captain Marvel away.
Even when facing the most powerful versions of Iron Man, Thor (wielding Stormbreaker with Odin's power), and Captain America (in peak condition), he managed to overpower all three with just a large blade.
Yet despite all this, Sanosi still fell short against Su Ye.
It wasn't because Sanosi, as a woman, was weaker than the male version—Su Ye was simply too strong.
A man strong enough to confidently shout, "I'll take on ten at once!" when facing Gwen, Mai Shiranui, and Tifa—how could he possibly lose to just one Thanos?
In a fast-paced match, the enemy would surrender in six minutes.
But Thanos was not the type to surrender easily. Even though Su Ye's attack power was overwhelming and broke through her defenses instantly.
"I will never bow to a dark and evil force like you!"
Seeing Sanosi gritting her teeth, Su Ye smiled and shook his head.
"Black criminal syndicate? re you color blind? This is black?"
Thanos rolled her eyes. "Pink... Pink criminal syndicate..."
