The Gun Devil, which had disappeared for over a decade, now reappeared on Earth.
However, the fully manifested Gun Devil didn't emit a single roar, and there was no sign of emotion in its form.
Aside from the thousands of tortured human heads that wailed helplessly inside its open ribcage, there was no trace of life in the Devil's body.
It seemed more like a lifeless puppet, appearing in response to a forced summoning, mechanically fulfilling its summoner's wishes.
Kill Makima!
The Gun Devil activated its ability!
It forcibly pierced the heads of all males within a thousand-meter radius, pierced the hearts of all children within a fifteen-hundred-meter radius, and pierced the hearts of all living beings born in every month except April and July within a thousand meters.
If the Gun Devil simply walked around Japan, over ninety-five percent of the Japanese population would die instantly.
The few humans that weren't affected by its abilities would still not escape the Gun Devil's targeted sniping.
This was America's plan.
Since any harm inflicted on Makima would be transferred to Japanese citizens, they decided to annihilate all of Japan.
For freedom!
The gigantic, terrifying Devil raised its arms—or rather, raised the countless guns that made up its arms—aiming at Makima's position.
Then, countless bullets shot out.
With a firing speed far beyond that of normal firearms, the bullets accurately shot toward all targets within its range of attack and power.
But just as the tens of thousands of bullets flew toward their targets, a violent gust of wind erupted.
Two tornadoes appeared out of nowhere, creating wind barriers that forced the bullets to veer off course and swirl in the wind.
The two young women standing in the eye of the storm raised their arms in unison and pointed at the Gun Devil.
The wind shifted again, carrying all the bullets straight toward the Gun Devil.
Cling cling clang—
The sound of metal colliding echoed through the area.
Although the wind blocked and returned every bullet from the Gun Devil's attack, the damage done was limited.
Most of the bullets were blocked by the weapons on the Devil's body, and only a few that managed to pierce its flesh caused minor damage. But for such a massive Devil, it was barely significant.
However, the Yamai sisters had never expected that their counterattack would do any real damage.
Their goal was only to attract the Gun Devil's attention.
Despite having blocked all the attacks and even returning them in a mocking manner, the Gun Devil didn't seem angry at all.
Its head remained fixed, staring intently at Makima standing on the beach.
Its flesh wriggled, and more guns and weapons fused with its body, adjusting their angles toward Makima.
"Looks like you really don't have any consciousness left."
Seeing this, Kaguya Yamai finally confirmed her suspicion, saying with a hint of regret, "I thought I would finally get a battle that would excite me, but it's turning out like this."
"What a pity. The Gun Devil now is just a puppet," Yamai Yuzuru also nodded slightly. "If that's the case, then there's no point in enjoying the fight."
With that, the Yamai sisters abandoned the idea of dragging out the battle.
As Yuzuru had said, the current Gun Devil was nothing more than a puppet controlled by the American president.
It hadn't come to Earth because it wanted to. It was only here because of the contract that had forced it into existence.
Its only goal was to kill Makima.
Trying to distract it was pointless.
Since they couldn't show the world an epic battle between the Wind Spirit and the Gun Devil, continuing their harmless harassment was futile.
The Yamai sisters reunited, combining their two tornadoes into one.
The two Raphaels in their hands also fused together under their combined will.
"Let's finish this pointless battle quickly!"
The fully powered angel absorbed the sisters' combined spiritual energy, causing the power concentrated in their arrows to become even more terrifying.
This wasn't the first time they'd used this technique.
Not long ago, during their international aid mission, they used this very same attack to destroy the Real Estate Devil in Vietnam. Later, they used it again in other countries, showing various governments the extent of their power.
Makima knew this too.
However, even though she knew the power of this technique, experiencing it firsthand still caused her to feel a deep sense of fear.
At that moment, her gaze finally shifted from the Gun Devil to the sisters.
Now, the Devil had no consciousness, only following its contract's orders to kill Makima.
Even if they tried to divert its attention, it was pointless.
Since they couldn't deliver an epic battle for the world to see, they gave up on the fight and simply ended it.
With a sharp command, the angel's full power was released.
The storm carried the arrows with such force that it felt like it could tear apart space itself, and the battle was over in an instant.
The Devil that was once so terrifying was now no more than blood rain in the air.
With the finality of the fight, the sisters turned back to Makima with victory in their eyes.
