Chapter 312 - Chapter 50: The Gun Devil Hunt

Three days later.

America, The White House.

With a constant stream of bad news arriving, within less than two weeks, the President of the United States' hair had turned completely white.

For the past few days, he and his subordinates had been actively negotiating with other countries, trying to form an anti-Devil alliance once again to protect the human world.

But no other country was willing to stand against Makima.

It wasn't that they lacked the courage to resist.

Rather, it was because they had tried to resist before, and then abandoned the idea of continuing.

The Soviet Union sent its most powerful Bomb Devil, Leise; China sent its strongest Bow Devil, Quanxi; and Germany sent its strongest bounty hunter, Santa Claus, setting up numerous traps to try to stop Makima's plan.

But they all failed.

All the assassins sent to obstruct Makima had disappeared without a trace.

And now, Makima had completely taken control of the Japanese Cabinet, her wings fully grown and her foundation solid.

Although, if they were willing to pay any price, the countries still had a fighting chance, and the odds of winning weren't low.

However, the cost of doing so was simply too great, far greater than just accepting Makima's domination.

Even though choosing to submit to the controlling Devil would bring the worst peace for the human world, it was still better than total annihilation.

America's diplomatic efforts had no effect.

The superpowers, along with the first-tier countries that were just below them, seemed to have silently accepted Makima's plan.

Now, the only human country still standing against Makima was America.

"Even if we're the last one left, the land of the free will never bow to the Devil's control."

Standing by the window, looking out at the clear sky, the President of the United States took a deep breath.

Then, as if finally making up his mind, his gaze grew more determined as he exhaled.

Though the world believed the Gun Devil had disappeared years ago, the high-ranking officials of various countries knew that the Devil who had brought endless terror had actually been defeated by someone.

Its consciousness vanished, leaving only the remains of the Gun Devil scattered across the world.

And as one of the superpowers, America had a fair number of pieces of the Gun Devil's remains in its possession.

These pieces of the Gun Devil were incredibly powerful. If consumed by Devils, they would greatly enhance their strength.

However, aside from enhancing strength, the remains of the Gun Devil had another purpose.

That was, to use them as a medium to summon the Gun Devil once again.

"Gun Devil, I offer all the flesh pieces America holds, and in exchange, I will give a year's worth of my country's citizens' lifespans."

The President's voice was deep but filled with unwavering resolve.

"Please, kill Makima... the controlling Devil."

Meanwhile, across the ocean in Japan.

Makima stood on the beach, looking at the Devil that had formed from the pieces of the Gun Devil, its massive form gathering.

The Gun Devil was indeed a huge problem for her.

Even in Hell, its strength was second only to the Darkness Devil.

If it had been the old her fighting the Gun Devil, there would have been little chance of victory.

But unfortunately, America's determination came too late.

For Makima, who had already taken control of Japan, this enormous monster was nothing to fear.

"Well then, just as you wish, I'll leave the Gun Devil to you two."

Makima turned her gaze to the Yamai sisters, who were eagerly preparing for battle, gesturing for them to proceed.

"I've heard of the Gun Devil's great name. Only by defeating it can the Wind Spirit be recognized as the strongest!"

"Please, let this be a battle between Yuzuru and Kaguya. Please do not interfere, Makima."

The Yamai sisters had summoned their respective angels, ready for the upcoming battle.

In their eyes, a hint of excitement flickered.

Naturally, they had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Defeating the Gun Devil wasn't just a side mission requirement; once they completed this battle, the main mission would surely be fulfilled.

The Gun Devil was one of the most devastating Devils in human history, with the highest body count.

Though it appeared for only a brief moment, it had killed millions of humans.

While not every country suffered losses, every country feared this Devil that had brought disaster and death.

The fear of the Gun Devil was so vast that it had raised the danger level of all Devils, increasing their power.

In Hell, the Gun Devil was a legendary figure that others dared not challenge, but on Earth, the Chainsaw Devil was the Devil that everyone dreaded.

If the Yamai sisters could defeat it, their fame would surpass that of the Gun Devil, and they would be known to the entire world.

The image of the berserk warrior would be deeply etched in people's minds.

The Yamai sisters locked their gazes on the massive form gradually taking shape in the distance, their surroundings already swirling with fierce winds.

As the flesh pieces fused together, the Gun Devil finally completed its manifestation, towering higher than skyscrapers.

The Devil's head had a massive gun barrel sticking out of it, its arms formed from an assortment of weapons, and its ribcage opened, containing thousands of pained human heads, as though each head represented a soul trapped by the Devil.

Its size even dwarfed the Real Estate Devil they had fought in Vietnam.

"You may be strong, but even you won't find it easy to defeat it," Makima said nonchalantly. "Are you sure you don't need my help?"

"Are you doubting our strength?" Kaguya Yamai scoffed. "You really underestimate us."

"Don't worry, Yuzuru and Kaguya can completely handle the Gun Devil. Makima, you can just watch from here," Yamai Yuzuru said with a slight seriousness.

Of course, they wouldn't let anyone interfere with their battle against the Gun Devil.

Side mission three stated that the more they contributed to the hunt, the higher their evaluation score.

This meant that to perfectly complete the mission, they couldn't rely on anyone else's help.

"If that's the case, I won't interfere."

Seeing the seriousness in the Yamai sisters' tone, Makima stepped back and handed the stage over to them.

Once the Gun Devil had fully materialized and its presence solidified, the Yamai sisters no longer hesitated.

With their angels summoned, they flew toward the massive Devil in the sea, ready to face it in battle.

Next, the real fight would begin!
