Diana walked deeper into the forest along the muddy trail, and in fact, the spired buildings deep within the forest were not that far from her. The occasional cries made her nerves tense.
By the roadside, a wooden sign caught her attention. It looked old, crookedly stuck in the mud and about to fall over with just a push.
She straightened the tilted sign and saw it read: "Henwick Street 186."
Was this once a street? Diana felt bewildered. This clearly was a forest, the ground under her feet stretched to the back of a small mound ahead, and looking back, a gray stone mountain ended all roads.
She had crawled out from the basement of a small cabin at the foot of the mountain.
Dropping the sign, Diana continued forward. Along the way, she increasingly felt that something was off about this place. The dried, yellow grass by the road grew up to her waist, and a pair of white shoes appeared in her sight.
