Chapter 847
Ron smiled.
"Not really."
In this world—on the Human Continent—very few things still posed a threat to him. Even most S-rank Nen users, those considered equal in classification, could no longer endanger him.
Though Ron had not officially stepped into the Sequence tier, if Specter had reached Sequence 1, then Ron's comprehensive strength now qualified as Sequence 1 as well.
Hearing this, Morena let out a breath of relief. Without betraying any expression, she glanced at the rearview mirror, quietly speculating about who might be behind all this.
They were in Kakin. Her identity, within Kakin's hierarchy, didn't carry much public weight. As someone in the secondary tier, she was confined to the shadows. And yet, her power, status, and capabilities still ranked among the upper echelon of the country. She was the head of the Heil-Ly Family, an A-rank Nen user, and the illegitimate child of the Kakin king.
Except for the king and his princes, even high-ranking officials and ministers in Kakin couldn't act against Morena without careful consideration. Anyone rash enough to try would likely be unable to withstand her retaliation.
Ron pressed the car's ignition, and the engine roared to life as he shifted into drive, exhaust sputtering from the tailpipe.
Shortly after leaving the city, something fell from the sky.
"It's here," Ron said.
Boom!
A massive object slammed into the vehicle, crushing it instantly. The car's chassis caved in, and the frame split cleanly in half. The two halves bounced from the impact and were flung more than ten meters into the air before crashing back down, now nothing more than twisted, smoking scrap.
Metal parts scattered across the road. Gasoline splashed everywhere.
Another figure appeared, snapping their fingers. In the next second, the spilled gasoline ignited. Flames erupted and surged higher, burning hotter and fiercer with each passing second.
Two silhouettes stared at Ron and Morena.
Ron glanced at the ruined car. It had been completely destroyed—there was no point in thinking about repairs. Fixing it would probably cost more than buying several new ones.
The scene reminded him of when Owl from the Shadow Beast ambushed the Phantom Troupe—except this opponent was much stronger. Owl had merely dented a car roof. This one had obliterated the entire vehicle.
As for the other enemy, their abilities were still unknown, but the aura they exuded was no weaker than the first.
"Two A-rank Nen users," Ron said. "And not just that—top-tier A-rank. Around the level of Hisoka or Illumi. Very strong."
"Unfortunately…"
Morena's expression turned grim. She locked eyes on the two figures in front of them.
The burly one grinned and charged straight at them. Just as Morena was about to act, a figure appeared in front of Ron.
"Natsu!"
The moment he appeared, Natsu burst forward to meet the oncoming attacker head-on.
Boom!
They collided directly—no fancy moves, no tactics, just pure power clashing.
The large man was knocked back over a dozen steps, while Natsu didn't budge an inch.
The man's expression immediately changed—but he didn't retreat. He attacked again, relentlessly.
Meanwhile, the smaller figure darted forward with astonishing speed, disappearing even from the sight of ordinary Nen users. Even Ron had to admit this person was fast.
But on Ron's side was someone just as skilled in speed—Uchiha Sasuke.
A bolt of lightning burst from Sasuke's body. He moved faster than the small opponent could.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"
Natsu launched a punch.
This time, the burly man took even heavier damage. His clothes tore apart, revealing an enormous, muscular frame—taller and stronger than even Uvogin from the Phantom Troupe.
Morena's pupils contracted. She had recognized a symbol on the man.
"These two are prisoners from Frore Prison!"
"Frore Prison?" Ron asked.
"Frore Prison is part of Kakin's criminal underworld," Morena explained. "It holds some of the most violent and powerful criminals. But hardly anyone even knows it exists. And those who can command prisoners from Frore Prison… are fewer still."
A sharp glint flashed in her eyes.
"I know now who's behind them."
"Who?"
"Camilla," she said. "Second Prince of Kakin. That bitch."
When she spoke Camilla's name, Morena's voice was filled with disgust.
"She hides behind her royal status and opposes me at every turn. We've clashed many times. If not for the protection that title affords her, I would've killed her a dozen times over. She's not even a Nen user."
Ron recalled some details from the original storyline. Camilla—Second Prince of Kakin. One of the participants in the Succession War.
Her awakened Nen ability: Cat's Name, also known as the cat who lived a million times.
A power linked to death. If Camilla was killed, her Nen would transform into a giant cat that would track down and kill her murderer. After the killer's death, it would absorb their life force and condense it into a single drop of liquid, which would then be administered to Camilla's corpse.
And she would come back to life.
It was a terrifying ability.
Ron had dealt with death-related Nen abilities many times before. The strength of a post-mortem Nen ability didn't depend solely on the user's own power, but also on factors like the cause of death, the user's temperament, and the circumstances of their demise. In many cases, the ability became even more powerful after death.
To illustrate: if Camilla was a B-rank Nen user and was killed by someone at A-rank, it was entirely possible that the resulting Cat could kill that A-rank user and revive Camilla.
In a battle between equals, the ability's chances of activating were even higher.
The Guardian Beast granted to her by the Egg Ceremony resembled a sea anemone, though its exact powers remained unknown—most likely Manipulation-type, but that wasn't certain.
Only one among the fourteen princes would survive the war and ascend the throne.
Ron didn't think Camilla had a high chance of winning. And those who didn't win would die.
"You really hate her that much?" he asked.
Morena fell silent for a moment.
"Yes."
"But that bitch won't stay arrogant for long. Once the Succession War begins, she won't last."
