Chapter 8 - The Reincarnation

My car fell into the water, and because of all the stress, my water broke while I was still underwater. I unbuckled my seatbelt and swam to the nearest shore, then made my way into the forest hoping to find shelter.

Fortunately, I found an old couple living deep in the woods. The old lady was kind enough to help me give birth. I delivered two beautiful babies—a girl and a boy. They were the cutest babies I had ever seen.

Before I could react, everything went blank.

When I woke up, I found myself in a room full of floating memories.

Then, Suki appeared—a panda-like spirit responsible for guarding the book of our lives. He told me my soul was too shattered to return to the living world, so they had to send another soul to bring life back to my body.

I couldn't believe what I had just heard. I tried slapping myself, hoping to wake up, but nothing helped.

Suki told me to stop—it was no use.

"We have found a very suitable soul, and we believe she will care for your kids as if they were her own," he said, getting to the point before my soul ran out of time and disappeared.

"So will that soul have my past memories? And what will happen to my soul?" I asked, hoping it wouldn't get worse.

"Nothing will change—everything will be the same except the soul. Also, there's a rule banning reincarnated souls from having memories of their past life. As for your soul, it will return to the spirit realm because it is too shattered to be reincarnated. With that said, it's time we say goodbye."

And that's how I ended up in the spirit realm, with no memories of my past life.

Luna → Hana

"Wakey wakey, sleeping beauty!" I heard a voice, and when I opened my eyes, I saw a spirit-like panda in front of me.

"You're awake, so I won't waste time. I'm Suki, the guardian of the book of your life. Now I'm going to reincarnate you into another body that lost its soul. You won't remember anything from your past life—it will be as if you've always lived this new life. You won't remember talking to me or anyone in this realm. So off you go."

Before I could say anything, a black hole opened and sucked me in.

When I woke up, the first thing I thought of was my babies. I rushed from the bed and searched the whole house for them.

Finally, I found them—the old lady who saved me was feeding them under a tree. I rushed over and picked them up, shocking the old lady.

"Oh my god! You're finally awake. I thought you were never going to wake up."

A bright smile appeared on her face.

"Was I asleep for so long?" I asked, confused by how she reacted.

"You've been asleep for three months, and because of that, we couldn't find your family, so we had to take care of your babies until you woke up."

I was shocked to learn I had been asleep for three months. I immediately wanted to go home—I was sure my dad and brother were sick and worried about me.

She helped me bathe the babies and pack their clothes, then took me to the nearest bus station and gave me money to get safely to the city.

As soon as I arrived, I called my brother to pick me up.

When he arrived, he found me waiting on a bench at the bus station, holding the twins.

He rushed to hug me, tears streaming down his face.

"Where have you been the last three months? Have you been well? Have you and the babies been eating well?" he asked anxiously.

"We're fine. Let's go home first, and I'll tell you everything," I said, trying to reassure him.

We went home and found my dad waiting at the door.

The moment we walked in, he rushed to us, hugging me as tears fell down his face.

I wiped them and reassured him that I was okay.

We sat down, and I told them everything that had happened.

During the conversation, I learned that my brother had gone to the Park house and taken all my belongings, but while doing so, he got into a fight with Jungwoo.

That was not the end of it—he even canceled all contracts with PC and threatened to bring their whole company down.

All of this made me burst out laughing because I had never imagined my brother as the threatening type.

The twins fell asleep, so I took them to bed in my room.

As soon as I returned, someone knocked on the door.
