His plan worked.
Leroys plan was simple. Take. Damage.
Easy said and done given just how strong those three were. He didn't even have to hold back his punches and strikes. But there were moments with in where he did not take advantage of an opening that Tadi had. Use that ribbon of bandage on Nanwida to pull her close, or shoot the bullets from Sifa
He knew that there was a good chance that if he let himself get beat up. They wouldn't be able to take care of his wounds within his cell. And would most likely have to move him to somewhere much more easily accessible
Though. To be honest. He definitely went overboard with it in some ways. They just wailed on him again and again even if he tried to not get hit and no longer let himself be attacked
He could feel that no one was in the Room with him. He was conscious for most of the treatment by Iris. But allowed himself to fall into slumber the moment he knew that he was in a different building
There was no way out of that arena. With Eliza and her sisters. But right now. Given the hours that it had been since his bout. He could feel his body becoming much better.
"Seems like most of those injuries were superfical" He sat up. Looking around. And then his eyes widened as he pat around his wasit, stomach and then looked next to him and sighing in relief. His sash was still there. "Phew…" He shook his head, a weak smile on his face as he swung his legs over the bed…And a certain feeling grazed his lower half as he stood up
"Oh-! Shit…" He almost said to loudly. He was naked! "Shit…Hah. Well I guess that nurse got a full view of me…" His feet pattered as he looked around in the room trying to find something to cover himself
He saw that his clothes he'd wore in his cell were folded up on a table. Leroy began taking off his bandages The small wounds already having healed well from the unique medicine that was applied to him. He felt sore certainly. It was more than bearable
He picked up his shorts that were folded near by along with the clothes that had been washed and cleaned. Straw hat was missing though. "Eh. What ever." He shrugged and tugged the fight shorts on, and then the shirt he had worn on Desmare leaving the front open. Fully before finishing it off with the sash around his waist
He fingered in his pocket, felt two pieces of paper, and his little trinkets, and carried on.
With a simple turn he looked behind him to the window. No bars. It could be pushed open and a small bar extended to hold it open. Before Leroy opened the window. His eyes gazed across the street. No one was out right now. No Guards
Moving away from the window, bed creaking he stepped quietly up to the door and put his ear against the door lightly. He could here nondescript chatter of guards outside.
He gave himself a nod.
Turning around slowly he stepped lightly back to the window.
'Guards are all inside. Not out. There were those towers from before.' He gazed to them from the glass. Lanterns illuminated the women in the towers. They were looking away. Concerned with what was out and not in
'Guess they're complacent with having guards inside. This entire island has strong women on it so they're not expecting any form of resistance. Guess I'm a good actor.' He smirked
He slowly pushed the window open. It was silent. Well lubricated. He felt the cool breeze against his skin. He leaned out and extended his arm out and up, grabbing onto the roof
Stepping onto the window sill, he opened the window up more, and let the stopper drop slowly. Holding himself he let the window close. Feet resting flat behind him on a squat against the wall
Letting go, he shot another arm out to swing through the Cyprus night!
"He was a good fighter. That much is clear" Tadi began. She, Nanwida, Sifa, Eliza, and the Lady Advisor Pananabik or simply Nabi, were in a large room with chairs within a table in the middle.
Nabi was an old woman. Standing about equal or a bit above Elizas height due to her being hunched over. She wore a long robe with a long cardigan robe layered under it. She also wore a simple cotton shirt under it and finished with a pair of black slacks.
Her face was wrinkly and old but certainly had a shape to it that was clear that when she was younger she was an attractive woman. Even now certainly many could still see it. Her hair was stark silver and thin that was in a long back length wavy hair
Her wrinkled hands clasped together and resting on the arms of the chair
"Well thats to be expected. An Adonis is extremely powerful individual with limitless potential." She said with a sturdy but clearly worn and old vocals in her speech
"Uck…" Eliza rolled her eyes "Yeah. All that didn't work. I've asked him. And isn't that the only way it can happen anyway? Whatever. Thats besides the point." She swatted away the thoughts and silenced the Advisor
"Nanwi, Sifa. Anything for you two to add that isn't hysterical wives tales from 1,000 years ago?" She said with clear disdain in her voice with annoyance.
"I went a bit crazy during it." Sifa said rubbing her neck nervously. Her attitude having changed yet again from before. "He's good. He's real good. Glad that I didn't use to strong of my concoctions he may have gotten too hurt if the point was just to put him through his paces"
"Well I guess we still ended up doing that anyway. Given that hes currently cooped up in our hospital." Nanwida said. "Quick. Agile. Uses techniques, strong moves. Good Fighting style. And sharp mind. But he has no idea what Haki is."
"But the boy has clearly displayed Heka with his Prana along with being a user of Melammu" Nabi said.
"Conquerors Haki. And Heka, an immense amount of Haki. But no use of it whatsoever except in clear moments of distress." Eliza said scratching her neck
"If anything. He's proven himself to be one thing. Ample. Even if hes not some legendary sex god or what ever from a thousand years ago. He could certainly help us in some regard" She admitted
"You sure Eli?" Nanwida asked "Yeah he's good. But he's still a man. I mean even if I liked him, which honestly not really. I can see through to truth and see he's not like other men…Especially like those that hurt us…" She leaned forward
"But, theres so many women on the island who would throw up, gag, cry and break down at seeing a man again. This place is supposed to be a place of healing and getting them away from that man ruled world out there."
"Having a man be with you or even on the Crew, a Member of the Tyche Pirates…Might not go over well." She said with clear worry on her face in the form of a pursed brow
"Nana's got a point" Sifa said avoiding eye contact and rubbing her arm "Ha." Tadi breathed out a sigh
"They've all got a point. But if…If this Red Sash is to become one of us, help us, or be of use to us in some form or fashion. Maybe he can be the right man in the right place."
"The right man in the right place can make all the difference in the world." Nabi added on
Eliza leaned forward. Her hands together, index fingers pointed up and resting against her chin contemplatively. It was true. Leroy could help show them on the island, especially from being in hand with their Lady, their leader, it could show them a better way.
"I'd be worried about Civil War. People not taking the news well and being too far gone within their own heads to accept anything." Tadi thought aloud
"That would be quite the conundrum." Nabi starts "But we know that this is unlikely. Everyone through a form of Treatment, Where they can vent their frustrations, woes, life stories, and go through therapy to help them over come this so that they can be one with the Island around them."
"Though the concept of suddenly allowing a Man to be amongst them could sour them. But I'd give the estimate that at least 89% of the island has been treated. And with in those that sentiment against men still stands."
"And given that aforementioned treatment. I'm sure they could be reasoned with." She finished
Eliza sat there again. Thinking it over more and more. Trying to understand what to do next. Then. It came to her. "Nabi." She began, looking up to the elderly woman
"What exactly is the story of Adonis?" She asked. A look of sheer contemplation on her face. Eyes locked onto the woman
"Hm. So all this discussion has finally made you curious to see if theres anymore truth to this man?" She gave a small smile, wrinkles at her corners, showing both amusement and satisfaction
"Okay. I'll explain it. In full, but quickly."
"The reason why many on the island do not know the legend well is because my predecessor did not have it be something that was taught widely" In the history of Cyprus. There has been 12 generations of Lady's, with the Island having had its first Lady one thousand years ago "This is the story that has been passed down. The purest version of it."
"Adonis is said to be a man that will one day arrive on the island in a glorious fashion. He is said to be a man unlike any other seen by those on the Island. Almost as if he were a light in the dark of those that saw him."
"This is the Ase. Long ago it was known as the Ashe Occurrence. And has sense evolved in name.
"Adonis' strength, skill, personality and will being apparent even at a glance. He will be a man who is so determined in his self and his goals that it will be evident."
"When he meets The Lady. They will come together in an alliance that will defy all expectation. This alliance will bring together the island into a new age. Liberating the women of the island away from their chains. Sex, Societal Standards, Trauma of their lives will be unshackled from them."
"Not through something as mundane as coupling and intercourse to do it. But through the companionship of the two. To show an light a new era for all those to see…"
She finished. Satisfied by finally being able to give her Lady the truth.
Eliza however…Sat there. Thinking. The other three looking from Nabi to Eliza. This certainly changed a lot. Perhaps everything. "Honestly. I doesn't matter if the prophecy is real." She murmured to herself.
"I definitely…Get it now…" She stood to her feet. "Thank you. All four of you. But, if you'll excuse me. I have a bath to take. And…Things to ruminate on."
