The Arena was like a large cylinder and seemed to be built into one of the large spire mountains. But the way Leroy had come into it, he hadn't seen what the proper entrance looked like.
It was like taking a pillar of rock, cutting the top off, and then drilling a hole straight down the middle.
All along the tall walls were sections carved into the side. With over hanging tiled rooves just like the rest of the Islands architecture. They were used as stands for women to look down and have a clear view from any position. Even as high up as a hundred or so feet near the top there were female bodies lining the walls.
Easily this place could fit multiple tens of thousands of people. All looking at the singular man that was on the island. The stands became more robust the lower down they got, coming out of the walls just enough for space and holding the most amount of people
The middle of the arena was circular as well. Made of brick squares to form the circle
There were some pillars surrounding at each of the corners of the perimeter, two sets of stairs on opposite sides of the arena platform. The whole area was a dozen or so meters in diameter. Plenty of area for a fight to take place
Leroy then noticed the Statues in a variety of areas. Off near the north side of the arena, built around and over to form an arch for an entrance, was a nondescript big cat. Facing inwards.
Leroy then turned east, and saw a Deer. A doe specifically.
To the west, a Snake.
Behind him, was a…bee? A large bee carved into and from a brassy metallic material.
It was then, as he was making rotations as he looked around, that the attitude of the arena seemed to change, and go silent. Due straight ahead, as a large throne sitting area with a fine chair-
Eliza was coming from behind a curtain. Hips swaying as each step was confident. Three other women coming from the curtain next to her. Each one taller than the last
One had black hair. A confident look. Slim sharp face. The corners of her eyes slanting downwards. A slim nose and eyebrows. And a bandana wrapped around her head fully with bits of hair sticking out of the top, front and mostly from the back
She wore a dark fabric jacket on her shoulders , baggy pants, combat boots, and a deep cut tank top. Most prominent of all, she was missing her right arm, its stump wrapped in a bandage.
Next to her, was a woman with short messy straight black hair that was shiny, large sharp eyes, lush lips, and most importantly, scarring across her face. One full scar from a blade from one cheek, over the nose, to the other. On her right cheek, the scar had a secondary scar going downwards. And on the other side, a full slice going from her hair lin all the way straight and cutting her lips as it ended at her chin
She wore a female wushu uniform that was accurate to the colors of the island around
The final woman had large wiry eyes with deep eye bags under them. Her face was very slim. Body petite. And wearing a cropped top with a cloud on the front.
Her hair was turquoise, tied back and in a lon singular braid that went down to her ankles. One large sharp bang going up and slanting down on her right side.
Eliza finally sat down. The others sitting in their own spots near her and all looking down at Leroy
"The Fight will a bout until there is a clear winner! At this time. The amount of fighters you will be facing in the Jag Arena is undetermined. It will be up to me to decide if and when the event is finished!"
She waved her hand to the announcer. Anno, was a tall woman who wore an outfit like an opera singer. Her voice was loud as she began!
"Welcome all to a very special bout in the Beloved Jaguar Amphitheater! A Man has found his way onto our sacred island, and our dear Lady Eliza has saw it fit to have this man show himself to us!"
There were cheers, whistles, boos and jeers. Clearly some of them found the appearance of Leroy exciting in more ways than one, others out right spitting vocally at him
But for the most part. It was a general scene of palpable enticement
"The Man in question is known by many in the outside world as Falcon D. Leroy! Red Sash!" Whoops and cheers continued!
"And his first opponent will be none other than the Gozens very own Lea!" She wiped over to the entrance with the Big Cat where a short woman with a large amount of Yellowish orange hair covering one side of her face.
She wore simple combat attire of a sports bra top, shorts, and her arms were bound just like Leroy but covering all of her forearms.
Lea was a rather veteran member of the Gozen. Being renound for her speed and strength. Especially her hand to hand combat, having been trained by none other than one of the Four Floral Daughters.
Whom were the Four at the Throne that instant.
Eliza, The Lady. Sifa, The Long Braided Hair woman. Nanwida, The Woman missing an Arm. Tadi, The Woman with a scarred face
It was Tadi who had trained Lea, and was known as the best hand to hand combatant on the island.
"So. You're the man thats been causing a bustle the past view days huh? You don't look all that strong." She said looking him up and down
In the past two years. Leroy had definitely gotten larger. His muscles more defined that the more lithe form he once had. But he was getting to a point to where for the most part out side of a v tapper and out line, his abdominals were totally gone.
"Sorry to disappoint. But if I want off this place Imma have'ta not hold back against you." He rubbed his wrists before cracking his neck
"Heh, we'll see about that. First, here." She threw something at him. Which Leroy easily caught. "I wanna see what your capable of."
"Lea has just thrown something to red sash! It looks to be-"
"Its coal." She said to Leroy. It was strange. He could hear her far better than he could hear the crowd.
Lea then took the piece of black in her hand and held it in both. Before clasping her hands and squeezing!
Her muscles tensed! Veins bulging as she grit and then-!
"Hah!" She exhaled, and opened her hand to reveal
A Diamond!
"They say if you apply about Hundred Thousand Tons worth of Pressure to turn it-"
Leroy looked at it. Clasped his hand shut around the one inch piece of coal, and gripped! It was only a bit difficult! But when he opened his hand the diamond was steaming.
"Not worth as much as a real one." He tossed it to her. Eyes widened
"H-How did you do that so easily? Only Misteress Tadi can do it like that…."
She tossed the Diamonds down! Tensed her knuckles white and ran forward with fury in her eyes! "Damn you!"
"Gum Gum…" He shifted, shaking his arm to loosen it up when she was only a foot away!
"SLING!"
He arm went slack, as iff every bone in his body were made of threaded cord! His middle finger grazing just below the seam of her top before!
Crackoom! The Air exploded and the main aspect of the move went into play! It was not just the contact! But crack that was made! A burst of air that shocked through the air and made many who were not accustomed to such a sound to cover their ears!
It was so strong that it caused Lea to be sent flying backwards! And slam into the Big cat with strength to perfectly indent it!
"Phew. That stung a little. As to be expected just hitting with my finger." His digit was smoking as he shook it.
Cheer and Boos screamed through the arena! Clearly, it was the entertainment that the spectators were after!
