Shen Heyu looked down and just as her gaze lifted, the car window of the vehicle stopped in front of her slowly lowered. There she saw Pei Yansi's distinct, sharply contoured face.
Those narrow, deep eyes stared at Shen Heyu, silently drawing her in like a vortex, capturing her with such a tender and enduring gaze that her heart almost subconsciously skipped a beat.
"Get in, I'll take you home," Pei Yansi's voice, cold and indifferent, drifted over. It sounded quite enchanting in the deep of the night, instantly capturing all of Shen Heyu's attention.
After staring blankly at Pei Yansi for two seconds, Shen Heyu couldn't help but let out a soft laugh.
"I just went to your office to look for you," she said. "I told you I had a question I wanted to ask you, but you didn't give me a chance to speak before telling me to leave."
"Now, I've left as you wanted, but then you say you want to take me home. Pei Yansi, I really don't understand what you are thinking."
