Fresh from her shower, Rosemary's scent was a breath of spring, her soft cheeks begging for another kiss.
"Don't mind his ramblings," Rosemary said with a light chuckle. "It's not as bad as he makes it out to be."
"I know you're hurting," Romeo murmured, holding her close. "How are you feeling now? Any dizziness? Any pain?"
"It's all gone."
"Harris's girl, the one you mentioned, is locked up at the station."
"Mhm." Rosemary glanced at him. "There are some clothes for you in the walk-in. Go take a shower, get some rest."
"I'm not tired," Romeo whispered, caressing her face.
"You still need to rest." Rosemary led him to the walk-in wardrobe, where she kept a cabinet full of clothes she had sewn for him when she had spare time, using nothing but fabric and a small sewing
machine.
She handed him a set of cozy loungewear.
Romeo was touched and surprised to find she had secretly made so many garments for him. "Can I take all of these with me when I leave later?"
