A single, straight dash—almost silent.
Asher stepped in front and blocked the first claw with his forearm. The impact felt like being hit by a battering ram, pushing him back several meters.
He dug his heel into the floor and finally stopped sliding.
The chimera didn't chase.
It simply reset its stance, watching.
Asher shook out his arm.
"Yeah. Stronger."
The Knight charged in this time, sword raised. But the chimera stepped aside, turning its head just slightly—then slammed its elbow down on the flat of the sword, redirecting the strike like it understood weapon angles.
The Knight stumbled from the force.
The chimera used the opening.
It swept its tail low, hitting the Knight's legs and knocking it sideways. Then it followed with a downward claw aim straight for the Knight's head.
Asher blurred forward and caught the chimera's arm inches before impact, both hands pushing against the massive claw.
