Chapter 472 - Ambush—Lethal Fight on the Pier Part 3

With the lightning-javelin flying towards her, Tereza desperately yells once again, "Protego," creating the invisible shield just in time to block the lightning-charged javelin—only for it to pierce through the barrier and lodge itself deep into her leg.

Heavily injured, but still conscious, she somehow keeps flying—choosing not to flee, but to continue to stubbornly fight.

"Expelliarmus!" she shouts, a red bolt shooting toward the enemy player. The woman just smirks as she quickly grabs a nearby pirate, dragging him in front of her to take the hit. The man is hit, and his rifle is knocked from the pirate's hands and flung into the water.

"What was that!?" he yells. "Hey! Let me go you crazy bitch! You are not my Capta—"

"Stupefy! Flipendo! Diffindo!" Tereza yells, causing him to shut up, as she fires spell after spell in desperation, while Alex rushes onto the ship, leaping over the railing.

The female player tries to dodge the first two spells—both missing and instead striking two nearby pirates, who were aiming at her.

She was aiming for the pirates!

One is hurled backward and collapses, unable to move, while the other is also flung backward, spinning around in the air, before hitting his head on the railing, getting knocked out instantly, creating a dull thud.

Finally, her last spell lands—Diffindo slices into the pirate, but also hits the player's leg, causing her to stumble forward, as she tries to dodge, and crash onto the wooden deck.

"Fuck!" she yells, coincidentally spotting Alex as he arrives. Her expression twists in panic the moment she recognizes him.

"Decoy!" she screams.

A shimmering copy of herself materializes in front of her, raising a javelin, aiming at Alex.

Is she dumb? It's a decoy. Why should I be scared?! Keep your mouth shut, idiot!

As he is now in striking range, Alex unleashes a Flying Fira Sword, enhancing it with Aura, using Shu. His sword creates a wide arc of blue and crimson-colored fiery destruction that targets the player, her decoy, and the surrounding pirates.

You have dealt 161 damage to Pirate

You have killed Pirate

...

You have dealt 137 damage to Pirate

You have killed Pirate

You have dealt 315 damage to Player Juana

You have killed Player Juana

You have dealt 91 damage to Player Juana

You have caused burn

Wait?! No—I didn't kill her yet! It was the decoy! The system's being tricked!

Alex doesn't relax for even a second, as he sees that the Player is still alive. He watches as the muscular woman writhes on the ground in pain, as her clothes are engulfed in a fiery blaze.

"HELP!" The woman screams desperately.

"We need to save her, or the Captain will have our necks!"

"Kill him now, he must be tired!"

"DIE MONSTER!"

The last three surviving pirates yell at each other and charge at him in desperation.

Alex immediately uses Throw, launching one of them straight off the ship and into the sea with his biotic skill.

The other two draw their sabers and slash at him in sync.

But Alex, using the superior range of his [Executioner's Blade R2], unleashes one of the wide, sweeping strikes from Alexandrian Royal Swordsmanship, cleaving toward both enemies in a single motion.

You have dealt 57 damage to Pirate

You have crippled Pirate (hands)

You have caused bleeding (arms)

You have dealt 51 damage to Pirate

You have crippled Pirate (hands)

You have caused bleeding (arms)

Thanks to the extended reach of his weapon, their hands are cleanly severed—both pirates scream in agony as blood sprays across the deck.

Panting heavily, Alex swings his blade once more. It feels heavier with every strike, the chaotic battle draining not just his Aura, but his stamina as well. Still, his blade carves into the first pirate's chest, ending him.

You have dealt 96 damage to Pirate

You have killed Pirate

Seeing the last pirate recoil in fear, Alex swings again, this time aiming directly for his head.

"No! Spar—"

You have dealt 113 x 3 = 339 damage to Pirate

You have killed Pirate

Immediately, Alex shifts his attention to the remaining Player—but before he can react, Tereza descends rapidly, yelling, "Aguamenti!"

A powerful blast of water hits the Player head-on, throwing her backward. She then swings her wand a couple of times, shooting red projectiles toward the player, making her scream in pain.

"Lumos Maxima!" she follows up, creating a blinding flash of light with her wand.

Alex instinctively raises his arm to shield his eyes from the sudden brightness. When he looks back, the Player is on her knees, dazed—and Tereza is right behind her, her sharp fangs sunk deep into her neck. The Player trembles, her strength vanishing rapidly as Tereza drains her dry, sucking her blood.

She's draining her stats! If I heal her now... she'll be a monster when she transforms. Good!

"No... no..." the woman babbles weakly, but after Tereza has had her fill, she simply draws her dagger and plunges it into the woman's neck, ending her without hesitation.

Alex, spotting Tereza's lingering injuries, reaches for his [Destiny Watch (Orbment) R2] and casts another healing art, the improved version of Tear, Teara.

You have healed Player Tereza for 281 HP

"Thank you," she says with a satisfied moan, the watery glow of the blue art instantly healing her wounds completely.

Reaching down, she grabs the javelin still lodged in her leg and yanks it free with a grunt. "Ferula," she whispers, conjuring more bandages that wrap around the wound, stopping the bleeding instantly.

"Are you okay?" Alex asks, clutching his head, feeling the crushing weight of his own fatigue.

Damn it... Uzin's Rage is insanely powerful, but using it twice, along with the more powerful daily effect, is killing me. It's way too much. This isn't just about numbers—every skill drains me, mentally and physically. My head feels like it's about to explode. I really need to make careful decisions. Resources like MP, Aura, or BP are important, but there are limitations on my body. Maybe I should push my PHY and SPR even more? Well, it all worked out... for now.

"I'm fine, I can't walk properly for a while, but I can still fly!" She replies, suddenly raising her wand, yelling. "Episkey. Episkey. Episkey."

Three quick healing spells strike Alex in succession.

You have recovered 14 HP

You have recovered 11 HP

You have recovered 8 HP

"You look hurt too," she notes, watching as his wounds slowly close in front of her. Without wasting time, she walks over to the fallen pirates, collects two White Chests and, naturally, a [Bloody Chest], before lifting off again.

"Let's hurry and find the others. Follow me!"

"Okay!" Alex shouts back, leaping off the ship and sprinting along the docks after her. As he runs, he consumes another [Superior Dish (Fried Squid Balls)], the fishy flavour briefly distracting him from the stress as his stamina surges back, at least partially.

Let's kill the rest of these fuckers. I hope Jewel and Benezia are fine.

Alex rushes after Tereza, watching her soar through the air ahead of him.

With each step, more and more corpses come into view—floating in the water, sprawled across the pier, and piled near crates.

No longer feeling drained, Alex quickly checks his status. He still has a decent pool of MP and AURA left, thanks to relying heavily on Biotics and [Uzin's Rage] during the last encounter.

Despite feeling recharged, his head still throbs with pain, each heartbeat pulsing like a hammer inside his skull.

I can't use the ring again. I'll have to make do with my spells, skills, and Conjurations.

Tereza stops at the end of the pier and veers left, flying quickly toward the next ship.

That's when Alex spots Benezia locked in combat. She's facing off against a towering, asian-looking, muscular man, wielding a massive Chinese-style saber—nothing like the standard weapon Marines typically use in this world.

"You can't keep up with me, you damn hag!" the man roars. "You can rest in peace knowing a genius like me killed you! I'll show you my Quirk: Body Bulk! Tremble in fear."

A Quirk?!

Right before their eyes, the man begins to grow. His already hulking physique becomes monstrous—swelling to more than twice his original size, muscles inflating unnaturally until he looks like a juggernaut brought to life.

I know this one... but thankfully, he only grew two, maybe three times his original size. He's still within our reach.

Before he can stabilize his form, Benezia darts forward with a sharp, merciless smile. She uses Warp, throwing a bolt of energy against his face, making him yell in excruciating pain, as she appears directly in front of him in a blink, slashing several times before he can even lift his weapon or strike back.

Alex joins the attack, ready to support Benezia. Drawing his [Enchanted Runeblade], he casts Thundara directly at the towering opponent.

You have dealt 89 damage to Player Zhang Wei

You have stunned Player Zhang Wei

The bolt slams into the man, stunning him and locking him in place just long enough to create an opening for Benezia.

Still calm and collected, Benezia climbs up his bulky frame with ease, her biotics, allowing her to jump unnaturally high. She drives her Asari sword deep into his neck, pulling it out and stabbing again—two, three times.

The massive player finally lets out a horrid, choking gurgle, blood pouring down his chest. Enraged, he flails and finally shakes Benezia off.

But even as he stumbles, coughing blood, he keeps fighting—gripping his now comically small saber like a dagger, lunging and stabbing toward her in short, vicious bursts, ripping the ship apart.

Benezia blinks again, teleporting to the higher elevated, front part of the deck before he can reach her.

She calmly fires another Warp, staying out of reach and hitting the man directly in the face, making him tremble in rage as she desperately tries to chase her down.

She should be fine. Now—where's Tereza... and where the hell is Jewel?!

Turning around and attempting to leave the ship, Alex spots a massive bolt of lightning slamming into the ship across from where he stands, on the other side of the pier.

His eyes widen in shock.

What was that? Almost looks like a Thunder or Thundara spell!

Changing his approach, he climbs the mast of the now partially destroyed ship, skillfully avoiding the battle between Benezia and the other player, then conjures Sealion's Icewing Embrace.

With his freshly conjured icy armor, he jumps down, using the large icy wings to glide towards the ship where he saw the bolt of lightning just a moment ago.

Mid-air, he sees Tereza already engaged in battle—firing off red projectiles along with various spells toward a female Player wielding a long, snake-like whip.

Next to her is a small, yellow, mouse-like pet with bright red circles on its cheeks. It's weaving its tail as electricity begins to build up on its cheeks.

Fucking Pikachu?!
