Eric and Sil couldn't stay where they were for long and immediately set to looking for a marker or something noticeable to find. In the distance, Eric spotted a village no more then 10 miles away. The two decided to take a risk and ran to the village at full speed.
Reaching the village was jarring as the villagers carried on life, completely unaware of the churning undercurrent taking place. It was an agricultural village that grew rice, sweet potatoes, beans, and spinach. Children ran around laughing and playing while the elderly sat on rocking chairs.
Walking into the village earned them stares and they were immediately stopped by guards. These guards were villagers themselves, albeit a bit more muscular than the rest.
"Stop. Name yourselves and explain why you are here."
"My name is Blaze Boulder and this is my sister Selene Macaque. We are here to speak with the village chief." The guard studied the two and seemed to be internally debating whether to kick them out or grant their request.
Eric slid his hands in his pocket and pulled out 3 taels of iron. Sliding it into the man's hand seamlessly he spoke. "Hey, we just want to talk to the village chief. It's important. We are no trouble, I assure you."
The man smiled and took the money, he stood aside and pointed to the largest building. "The chief has a lot going on so make sure you hurry up. Don't be any trouble or else."
Thanking the man, Eric bowed and pulled Sil along with him. "You know Eric we could've just showed our strength. We are on a time crunch."
"Yeah, we do that and potentially have them look at us like enemies. Don't forget Sil, our masters are most likely being pursued or targeted. That means that keeping a low profile would be a good thing."
Sil shook her head in disagreement but followed after Eric.
Eric frequently surveyed the skies curious as to what exactly could be so important that they could be potentially followed.
Reaching the village chief's residence, Eric immediately opened the door to a rather nice looking house. Yet a front desk area was on the first floor where a lady was jotting down information.
"Hello, please be seated and we'll be right with you." Eric knew time was ticking and started to explain what was going on.
"A demon raiding party as well as orcs have been killing and kidnapping people. We need to speak to the chief. Does he have an emergency flare or talisman so the military or proper authorities can be contacted."
Eric's delivery was a mouthful that was spewed forcefully, the women looked less than pleased as did the few people sitting down.
"Eh wait your turn, my son's axe went missing."
"My wife slept with another man and I have to sit in line to get a divorce. What makes you special?"
"Ms. Higgins won't return my rolling pin. You are not cutting me in line."
Several people voiced their annoyance and the desk woman was ready to tell the duo off when Sil unleashed some pressure. Immediately the people grew quiet as they could feel how dangerous the young lady before them was.
"Shut it, all of you." Turning to the now shivering desk woman, Sil spoke curtly. 'This is why humans were disliked by papa.'
"Bring us to the village chief at once. Our information may save countless lives." The woman shakily got up and escorted the two to the second floor.
Both Eric and Sil's faces drooped when they were led to a door where they could clearly hear the sound of sexual noises. A woman panting and a man grunting.
The two were more mad than embarrassed but neither was willing to look at the other. Eric kicked the door open and saw the scene of a man in his late 40s finishing on a woman who looked no older than 16.
"Fucking gross. Listen up guy, a demon raiding party has been spotted no more than two days distance off. We've also seen orcs operating in the forest as well. We need you to use the contact flare or emergency talisman to alert the military or whoever will deal with this."
The man threw an irritated glance at the two as well as the woman who had brought them. He pushed the girl he'd finished on away as he put on his robes. Sipping his tea he finally spoke, "You're interrupting my fun time for some bullshit made up story?"
Sil became livid, "Bullshit, a dozen women were sacrificed to some monstrosity. We've come to warn you and see about getting some help to resolve the issue. What do you mean bullshit. Your limp dick is bullshit, that's what."
The man's eyes flashed a brief purple at hearing Sil's insult and Eric caught it. "Young lady, don't speak with such animosity. I'm sure we could work something out." His eyes lascivious and his member now bulging. Eric's eyes darkened as he said in a low voice.
"Do you have an emergency contact device for the military? They are the only ones I know that would and can deal with the shit we've seen in these forests."
The village chief laughed but didn't respond. Sipping more tea, he turned to the nearby girl he'd pushed away and rubbed her skin. The girl shuddered as he did it.
"Well yes, I suppose I do. However, why should I believe you. Two kids have stormed into my abode and are talking about myths that haven't been seen since centuries ago."
"Price, now, what is it you want." Eric was seething at the man's nonchalance. His attitude as if there was only the next fuck in his eyes.
"Price hmmmmmm. Well..." His eyes lingered on Sil as he studied her figure. Eric's head tilted to the side, a dangerous look inside his one working eye.
"Do that shit again, I'll rip you apart." For the first time the man looked at Eric seriously, the atmosphere tense as the fireplace crackled and popped. The intensity of the fire flaring almost at Eric's anger. The man's eyebrows rose just a notch seeing the look in the boy, catching the flames' moving with his anger as well..
Shrugging his shoulders, the man closed his eyes. "Well if that's not possible then I guess I would need something concrete. Maybe a soul contract between the three of us. I just need service from the two of you for four years."
Sil almost completely lost her top as Eric raised a hand, motioning for her to stop. "It seems that good sir has no intentions of making a deal. Forgive us for intruding." The menacing look in Eric's face was long since gone as he turned around and left with Sil in tow.
The front desk woman was still standing at the door, the man motioned to her as she walked towards him seductively.
"Those two were ungrateful towards chief Amare." The woman was completely enthralled as the man unwrapped her clothing like a child unwrapping candy.
"Be gentle my lord." Sounds could be heard as the man threw himself into another woman.
'Two rats, just what I need. They look familiar though, that girl was smoking hot. Just old enough to get some curves and young enough where they haven't developed. Just my type.'
Looking at the young woman that was twisting and bending to his every will, Chief Amare was disgusted but continued to play with his 'food'.
An hour later, the man walked out of his room with two exhausted and sickly women lying on the bed. Walking down the stairs to the first floor, the chief called a guard and asked for the two kids names.
Within 5mins he was so angry he could kill someone. His face twisted red while he threw items everywhere. "Damn, Damn, Damn, Damn, Damn!!!!"
'Fuck, the children that the monkey and snake clans have put a bounty on have just walked into my village and left. Those hierarchical pricks don't care what I say, the fact that I let them walk is bad enough. Shit!'
'Fuck it, the demons should only take another month to subjugate this forest area and make a move on the surrounding areas. I played my damn part.'
Whistling, the man summoned a black canary as it seemingly poofed into existence. "Tell the general that people are catching onto his movements. He needs to speed up the process. Inform the Snake and Monkey clan that I caught wind of one of their targets. I'll sell the info for 5000 spirit crystals, nothing less."
The bird was about to leave when he stopped it. "Tell the Blazing Bulls in two weeks that the demons have made their move. The forest has grown unsafe, they can only obtain more information if they pay a Death substitute talisman."
