Back in the castle, Elora was awakened by hunger. Her stomach rumbled as she lazily sat up in bed, her back resting against the pillows.
"Nalia... come in," Elora called out lazily, gazing at the view from her open window.
Nalia straightened up, turned to the door, and grasped the knob to enter the room.
"Good evening, Your Majesty." She greeted with a bow, not before getting a glimpse of Elora's skin through the loosened nightgown and her silver hair cascading loosely down her shoulders.
"Were the children settled in properly?' Elora turned towards the bowing Nalia.
"Rise." At her command, Nalia straightened up, but her eyes stayed fixed on the wall, not daring to glance at the queen.
"Your Majesty, they have been settled, I with the soldiers keeping an eye on them,'' Nalia responded promptly, questions lingering on her tongue, but she held them back.
