Skye stared at the van, amazed.
"So… your ancestor actually had a demon-hunting shop? Like… a real one?"
Alex nodded.
"Yeah. He kept the world safe while acting like it was just a job."
Before anyone could ask more, the van door slammed open.
A young man stepped out — short silver hair, a blue jacket, and a robotic arm that hummed with power. A huge sword was strapped to his back.
He pointed at Alex's group with a serious look.
"Hey! You people shouldn't be out here," he called. "You didn't notice the giant blood-sucking tree? Get moving before you end up dead!"
Ward stepped forward a bit, tense.
"And who are you supposed to be?"
The young man narrowed his eyes.
"Nero. Devil hunter. And I'm trying to clean up this mess before it gets worse."
His gaze shifted to Alex.
"I sense the same energy from you. What are you— a hunter for the Devil?" Nero asked, hand resting on the handle of his Red Queen.
"I'm also a Devil Hunter. Alex Morrow," Alex answered with a small smile, and Nero nodded.
Nero then glanced at the others — Fitz, Simmons, and May.
"And those two nerds and that hot Asian lady… they have the same energy? They're part of your team?"
"Yes," Alex nodded. "They were lucky and gained demonic familiars. Now they have some powers. Enough to clean up mobs… but overall, they're better at nerd jobs."
Nero nodded as he said,
"Then they can help Nico. She's my nerd. Well— my team's nerd. Not like… my woman or anything. She works with me. This hand—" He raised his robotic arm.
"—she made it."
Snap
Alex snapped his fingers.
Everything froze.
Nero, May, the others — all paused mid-movement.
"Damn… this ability is great," Alex muttered, looking around with a smirk.
"All of this is real," he whispered to himself.
The Devil's Domain.
It was an EX-Rank ability — something he had bought only after saving points for a very long time.
And it was also the only god-level ability he possessed so far — the power of Demon God Mundus.
With this ability, Alex could create an entire new world
or perfectly copy a real one from his memories.
The best part?
The ability filled in missing details automatically.
That's why Nero was here — even though this wasn't the real Nero.
This replica existed because the ability generated everything needed to make the world complete.
Living beings weren't real — they couldn't leave with him.
But objects… anything non-living?
He could take those out of this world.
Alex lifted his hand again and snapped his fingers.
Time resumed.
Nero continued talking as if nothing had happened.
"—and yeah, this arm saved my life more than once," he finished proudly.
Nero stretched his shoulder, attention moving toward the massive Qliphoth tree.
"So, what's your plan here?" Nero asked.
Alex answered smoothly,
"I was hoping to meet Nico. I could use some weapons — the Goldstein family are the best when it comes to demon-slaying gear."
Nero nodded.
"You're right about that."
He pointed toward the massive Qliphoth tree.
"You can find her somewhere down there. She'll be fixing the van — if the demons haven't messed it up again."
Nero revved his sword and started walking toward the chaos.
"I'm going deeper into the tree. More demons to cut down."
Coulson watched him go, confused.
"Who exactly was he?"
Alex replied casually,
"Vergil's son."
Coulson blinked.
"So in a way… he's like your… extremely distant relative?"
Alex smiled faintly but didn't answer further.
No one on the team knew the truth —
that this world belonged to his bloodline
and he was far more connected to these demons than he let on.
Skye's eyes lingered on Alex, curiosity growing even stronger.
But he simply turned toward the church doors and said with a gesture:
"Come on. Nico's close."
Ward frowned as they walked.
"But what exactly are we doing here? I mean… besides seeing an ancient history no one in our world even knows about?"
Alex shrugged lightly.
"Well, it's not just history. This is my legacy.
And I'm also here to get some weapons — like I said. Nico Goldstein's family makes the best demon-hunting gear."
They turned the corner—
And there she was.
A young woman with messy hair and goggles on her forehead, welding sparks flying as she worked on the side of the Devil May Cry van. Sleeves rolled up, crop top, confidence radiating off her like fire.
Ward's jaw dropped.
"You forgot to mention she's… really hot."
Skye elbowed him immediately.
"Seriously? We're surrounded by demon trees and corpses, and that's your first thought?"
Ward just raised his hands in surrender.
"I'm just appreciating craftsmanship. On the van, of course."
Nico looked up, chewing a toothpick, eyes scanning the newcomers.
"Well, well… ain't you all lookin' lost," she smirked.
"You friends of blondie with the sword?"
Alex stepped forward with a polite nod.
"Something like that. I was hoping to request your services."
Nico smirked wider.
"Oh honey… you came to the right gal."
Nico flicked the toothpick to the side and leaned against the van.
"You know, for the right price," she added, crossing her arms.
Alex held up a small metallic case.
"I'm not asking for charity. I need modifications — something that can handle demons and worse."
Nico's interest perked up immediately.
"Oh? Now you're speaking my language."
Ward glanced around awkwardly.
"So… guns? Swords? Armor? What are we getting here?"
Nico pointed a thumb toward the inside of the van.
"All of the above. I can build anything — if you've got the cash and a cool idea."
Skye stepped closer, curious.
"What exactly do you make for demon hunters?"
Nico grinned proudly.
"Shotguns that hit like freight trains. Rocket-powered blades. Bullets that punch through magic like it's paper. If it kills monsters, I've built it."
"Can it be used by humans?" Coulson asked.
"I can make human-sized gear too," Nico replied with a cocky smirk.
"Human-sized… as in, they won't be as powerful as the Devil Hunter versions?" Fitz asked.
Nico nodded.
"Yeah. Devil Hunter weapons rely on demonic energy to unlock their full power. You folks don't exactly have that—so your versions will be weaker. I kinda envy them, though. Normal life sounds nice."
