That was... a fear he'd never seen before!
Yes, fear.
A mix of surprise and terror.
It looked like a normal tailed beast, but Kurama's body slowly rose into the air. His huge form flew through the sky, heading toward Kaguya.
As Kurama got closer and closer, Kaguya couldn't help but step back.
"What's going on?" Sasuke noticed this and felt puzzled. "Why is Kaguya afraid of Kurama?"
Naruto thought hard for a moment before suddenly realizing: "It must be Kurama's sleazy vibe. Even a goddess like Kaguya can't handle it, so she backed away to get some distance from him."
Sasuke looked at Naruto's face full of "I've figured it out" and was speechless for a bit.
But... it kind of made sense.
"Makes sense my ass!" Kurama glared at Naruto and Sasuke with a dark face. "Kaguya is scared of me because my life level has reached that of the Otsutsuki clan. I'm no different from them now... except I don't have the Byakugan. So she thinks I'm one of the Otsutsuki and is on guard by instinct."
Kaguya was already very afraid of the Otsutsuki clan finding her. Even though Kurama had told her earlier that her power was stronger than those guys, she still felt scared.
Others couldn't sense it, but Kaguya could clearly feel the power inside Kurama's body—the power that belonged to the Otsutsuki. That's why she was scared on instinct, but only on instinct. Kaguya knew this Kurama in front of her couldn't be from the Otsutsuki clan.
But knowing is one thing; instinctive reactions are hard to stop.
Kurama looked proud. He raised his head and stared at Kaguya: "I've finally got the power to fight back against you. Even if you're at full strength, you can't kill me now, Kaguya. So... I'm not afraid of you anymore."
Kurama didn't just absorb the Six Paths power, sage power, tailed beast power, and Otsutsuki body. He used the Otsutsuki body to turn half of himself into the Divine Tree and grew a Chakra fruit with those three powers.
Right now, his body held three sources of power, but they were different from the original ones. These powers were fully his own, not seeds given by someone else.
In simple terms, after eating the Chakra fruit, Kurama now had his own god-like strength, not the chakra spread by the Sage of Six Paths that made the tailed beasts.
"Come on, Kaguya, final round." Kurama grinned, looking full of confidence.
From far away, Kaguya watched this, her eyes flickering as she thought about something.
First... let's test it out.
Eighty Gods Vacuum Assault!
Kaguya threw out her right fist, and a huge burst of power gathered.
"Heh~" Kurama snorted lightly. He swung his right claw hard. "Space Slash!"
Space got torn apart!
Five claw marks suddenly appeared on the space. The Eighty Gods Vacuum Assault got ripped to pieces, and both attacks vanished into the dark cracks in space.
As the claw-like space rifts healed, the surprise in Kaguya's eyes grew clearer.
"So... so awesome!" Naruto's eyes sparkled. In a sweet, whiny voice, he said, "Kurama, Kurama! Can I learn that move?"
That move looks so cool.
Swinging his right hand, his claws left scratch marks in the sky, like the strike had torn the whole space apart.
Kurama proudly lifted his head.
"You can't learn it." Sasuke's sudden words cut off what Kurama was about to say. Facing Kurama's expression—like he'd swallowed a fly—Sasuke said calmly, "This technique is basically Yomotsu Hirasaka. Kurama just sets the opening point on his claw, then launches it back to create the scene of tearing space with one claw."
"Even if it hits and rips a person apart with space, it's not a move we can learn."
That's right. This move wasn't really "Space Slash." It was just an improved version of Yomotsu Hirasaka. To use it, you need instinct-level control over Yomotsu Hirasaka. Sasuke opens it with his eye power, so even he couldn't learn this one.
Hearing this, the spark in Naruto's eyes faded. His tone went flat: "Oh, never mind then."
No point in whining if I can't learn it.
A vein popped on Kurama's forehead: "Sasuke! Are you talking too much?"
Sasuke tilted his head: "Am I? I'm just saying what I see."
As he spoke, the tomoe in his Rinnegan kept spinning, like he was showing off.
Kurama's mouth twitched. He clenched his fist: "Rinnegan, huh? You think I don't have one? Don't forget, I'm Otsutsuki now too!"
Kurama roared, then suddenly widened his eyes.
Strong chakra gathered in them right away. Under Sasuke and Naruto's surprised stares, his red pupils burst with power. A strong force shot out from Kurama's eyes.
The next moment, a small black chakra orb formed in front of Kaguya. With the surge of power, the black orb exploded.
The boom echoed through the sky.
Kurama threw his head back and laughed: "Hahahahaha! See that? That's my eye technique! It's called..."
"You're just remotely controlling a Truth-Seeking Ball to form, then making it explode, right..." Naruto said, his face full of black lines as he looked at Kurama.
He had actually believed Kurama's nonsense for a second there.
Sasuke snorted lightly. He looked up at Kurama, a mocking smile on his lips, full of pity in his eyes.
He didn't say a word, but it felt like he said everything.
Kurama really wanted to punch Sasuke right then.
He didn't have any eye technique powers to begin with. Byakugan and Sharingan were bloodline limits passed down. Sure, he'd used some tricks to become Otsutsuki, but he wasn't a real one. How could he have Byakugan or Rinnegan?
He hadn't cared before, but Sasuke... was too annoying.
The light from the Truth-Seeking Ball explosion faded. Kaguya walked out unharmed. Of course, an attack like that wouldn't hurt her.
She quietly watched the fox and the two guys from afar. Her mind wandered to her chances of winning.
Hmm... If she got back to her peak, she could handle these three. But right now, victory was almost impossible.
In her sleeve, out of sight, Kaguya clenched her fist.
She didn't want to die or get sealed, but these three clearly weren't going to let her go.
Surrender? Or fight a bit and then surrender?
Kaguya closed her eyes. Images of Hagoromo and Hamura came to mind unbidden—the two sons born under humanity's blessings...
The scene shifted to when she first arrived on this planet.
The scene changed again to when she launched her sneak attack.
This planet she once loved deeply had betrayed her. The humans she once loved had betrayed her. She wanted to revive and reclaim her power. Was she wrong?
Kaguya opened her eyes and looked at the two guys and the fox. A sad smile appeared on her lips without her realizing.
What... should I do?
