The news of Vergil Lucifer's death did not reach all of his wives at the same time.
Some learned of it through the Valkyries who had survived the destruction of Sparda, still covered in dust and blood when they arrived with the message. Others were told in person by Stella, Selene or Brynhildr, who took it upon themselves to deliver the news no one else had the courage to say out loud. And there were also those who felt his spiritual presence vanish before anyone could bring themselves to tell them what had happened.
None of them took it well.
Ada and Roxanne were the first to lose control.
The two of them were together when Raphaeline told them that Vergil had been found dead among the ruins of the city. At first, Ada simply refused to believe it. She demanded to see his body, accused the Valkyries of making a mistake, and tried to reach her husband through their spiritual connection, again and again, as if the problem were only a bad signal.
