"Watching movies, going on dates, shopping, lying on the grass in summer to watch the stars—doesn't all that count as being in a relationship?" Su Yan retorted.
Xu Nianhua swallowed, then asked, "What about going further?"
"Holding hands?" Su Yan replied.
Xu Nianhua let out a big sigh of relief, immediately shot him a massive eye roll, and said, "Yan-ge, you scared the hell out of me! I thought you two had already done what people only do after getting married."
Su Yan's ears turned a bit red as he replied, "Nianhua, even though you're married now, you really shouldn't talk nonsense like that. Aren't you embarrassed?"
Trying not to show how embarrassed he was, Su Yan pursed his lips and changed the topic: "Nianhua, I need your help."
"Tell me, what can I help with?" Xu Nianhua didn't immediately agree; honestly, Su Yan's actions confused her—was she getting old or what?
