"Tsk tsk tsk, Boss Gu, I'm so scared!" Boss Wang laughed exaggeratedly, saying he was scared, but his face was all smiles—there was no sign of fear at all. He leisurely sipped his tea, and now that he was in a good mood, even the tea tasted better.
"Boss Gu, it's just business. I'm selling off my own goods at a discount—that's got nothing to do with you, right?"
"I'm just trying to clear out my inventory, so I dropped the price a bit. If you want to follow suit, not much I can do about it."
Boss Wang acted like he was merely moving old stock, which pissed Gu Hai off enough to almost cough up blood. Inventory, my ass—he was clearly doing this on purpose to screw with him.
Gu Hai wasn't going to beat around the bush anymore. He said, "Boss Wang, who's got it out for me, huh? You're even willing to lose money just to cut prices—aren't we old friends from way back?"
