"Mom, that's not going to work. Zhihao has to go to work tomorrow." Zhao Juxiang spoke up at once, "You know, Zhihao's a supervisor at the cannery now. He's got responsibilities. How can he just leave whenever?"
"Then the day after tomorrow. If that won't do, then the day after that." Liu Sanmei stared at Zhao Juxiang, not caring what she said, drooping her eyelids, "Go start cooking, your dad's still out in the fields."
"Okay."
Zhao Juxiang wanted to ask her mother-in-law why she insisted Zhihao come home, but staring at her mother-in-law's gloomy look, she didn't dare say a word—just kept wondering to herself: did Zhihao do something wrong?
Or was it that Zhihao buying her a few new clothes made his grandma unhappy?
What's wrong if her son buys her a couple more pieces of new clothing?
Zhao Juxiang felt annoyed, so she kept making excuses about how Zhihao was busy at the factory and didn't have time to come home.
It wasn't until May 10th.
