Once Lunar arrived at the entrance of the academy what awaited him was a building crowned in glimmering jewels and covered in gold mixed with quartz. This one building spanned the size of two whales and probably costed more than all of Lunar's ancestors networths combined and multiplied 10 times over.
'Wow, this place is way more impressive than what I heard about. The flaunting of wealth almost makes it feel like a personal slap to the face while being called a peasant.' Lunar thought while observing the building.
"Hey kid, you must be the guy everyones talking about. How about you stop acting like some beggar and go sign in." A mysterious woman in front of a jade gate said.
"Sorry about that, but how do you know I'm not some random rogue cultivator." Lunar questioned while walking towards the jade entrance.
"You really are clueless, no random cultivator has permission to ride a golden crane and not even a fly or golden core cultivator could sneak past all our defensive formations. I'll only tell you this once out of respect for your loyalty but no one will take pity on you in here. No amount of perseverance will make you on the same level as those monsters so keep your pride low and head lower." The women said in a prideful tone.
'Talk about a downer but she is correct even after my sign of loyalty I won't get anymore benefits without showing promise'
"Thank you for the advice senior" Lunar said while giving a small bow.
After signing in, the woman revealed she was the head of security and that Lunar should head to his dorm to get ready for tomorrow's classes. Walking past luscious gardens and fancy water fountains Lunar found himself at his so called new home, although it was somewhat cramped, the room had all the necessity you would need to survive getting even a pair of clothes with his time table and a map thrown in for free. Lunar immediately jumped on the cozy bed laughing hysterically imagining how his future is now endless before slowly drifting to sleep.
Early the next morning, the birds chirped and light lay gently on Lunars face creating an image of a sleeping beauty only to be broken by his sharp eyes awaking. Lunars morning progressed normaly, cleaning up, showering, brushing his teeth while staring at his bland reflection and getting dressed for an early morning class. One could say for this world full of chaos it was quite abnormal to find such peacefulness but no one had time for such thoughts and so Lunar left his small room and made his way from the dorms to his class.
Class 09
As Lunar pushed open the door more people became visible to him till he observed around 13 students all staring at him with different expressions.
"Well look who finally showed up. Any reason for your tardiness?" A professor wearing fully crimson robes matching his red eyes and ginger hair spoke. He towered over Lunar with a stern expression.
'Augh I didn't bring anything to wake me. I guess the morning sun won't cut it.' Lunar thought to himself
"I'm sorry, I came unprepared and showed up late." He said trying to get this over with.
"Unpreparedness causes death, how will you walk a path of a thousand years if you can't prepare for such trivial things. Get to your seat!" The professor ordered.
'Making a mountain out of a mole hill, it's my first day for heavens sake!' Lunar thought.
"Pfft" one classmate barely held her laughter in.
Lunar walked towards his seat but the constant stares never stopped. He ended up sitting next to an abnormal looking student, their eyes hollow and life less, skin as pale as snow and nails as long as knives. Lunar didn't dare take but a glance to not offend him and decide that making friends can be saved for another day.
"Let me start over. Welcome students to the royal academy, it is your privlage and talent that got you here so use any means to gain strength and build foundations for growth. I'll briefly go over the different realms for certain ignorant people: first is the mortal realm this is what most people are born as, second is qi gathering ( the first step to immortality) just gather qi, third is foundation establishment, fourth is golden core.
Each major realm has 10 minor realms that build understanding and strength. Got all that. Well I don't care I don't repeat such simple information." The professor explained with some grandure but also haste.
'What. He's speaking way too fast how am I supposed to keep up' Lunar though with a depressed expression.
