With a tak, the sound of the table-tennis racket striking the ball marked the start of the match between Christian and Anastasia.
Neither of them used any extraordinary power. The ball moved back and forth at an ordinary speed, the rally beginning slowly before gradually picking up pace.
Christian started testing her with difficult angles, sudden changes in direction, and every trick he could think of. He expected to score his first point fairly quickly.
Both of them had sealed their strength, but there was still a considerable difference in their physiques. Christian was 187 centimeters tall, while Anastasia was only 138. With that difference in reach, he hadn't expected to struggle this much.
Yet no matter where he sent the ball, Anastasia was always there.
She would simply move into position and send it back.
"Stasty, are you actually cheating?" Christian asked.
"Like you, you mean?" Anastasia chuckled as she returned the ball once again. "No, I'm not cheating."
