"Haven't you had enough sleep yet, lad?" A sharp kick to the side roused Jidenna out from his slumber.

The air whistled dangerously, parting way as another shot towards him, its rounded top glinting ominously.
Jidenna's eyes snapped open, he leaped from the floor onto his feet, narrowly escaping doom.
"It seems you've improved. Don't be too complacent—it's just a small victory, nothing to celebrate over," Jidenna's instructor, Mr. Lu, grumbled, crossing his muscular arms over each other.
He walked out from the room. "Get going. I'm sure you have lectures tomorrow. Be here 5:30 sharp." He poked his head in. "And no excuses, Jidenna. I won't listen to any jibberish you spout," slamming the door after him.
