"Who are you?" Those were Jidenna's first words when he pushed open his door, seeing someone sitting on the bed opposite his.
Immediately upon seeing Jidenna, the boy stood up, pushed up his glasses with his index finger, gave a sheepish smile, scratched the back of his neck, and said, "Your new roommate... I guess." He shrugged, looking unsure of his own words, his eyes on the floor, tracing nonexistent lines on the tiles.
"Okay?... Welcome," but it ended up as more of a question than the warm greeting he had intended.
Jidenna peered past his new roommate, raising an eyebrow at the empty bed he sat on.
"Haven't gotten your luggage?"
He asked with raised brows. The roommate who appeared out of nowhere was as shocking as it was strange, especially one who came empty-handed.
'Maybe he's like me, forced into this graveyard-like hostel,' Jidenna reasoned.
"Oh yeah, about that. I'm sure it will arrive soon. Wasn't expecting this either." He scratched the back of his head.
