However, M'Baku's speed was far too great. Unleashing a tremendous force five times greater than that of an ordinary human, he instantly leaped through the hole in the ceiling above, disappearing from sight. The incoming bullets missed their target, hitting only the wall behind where he had stood.
"Damn it!"
the captain muttered, halting his attack and sprinting forward to the hole.
Standing where M'Baku had been, the captain looked up at the hole in the ceiling above him and raised his rifle.
Above the hole was a room on the third floor, which he had inspected during their defensive preparations and locked.
Through the large hole in the ceiling, he could clearly see inside the room, but M'Baku was no longer there. Only another large hole, nearly two meters in diameter, was visible in the third-floor ceiling. Through these two holes, a direct view of the sky beyond was possible.
M'Baku had passed through this hole, piercing the third-floor barrier and entering the room below, where he killed the warlord.
Following the captain, the other special forces soldiers quickly rushed forward, forming a circle below the hole, their rifles pointed upward.
Though the building's height was less than three meters per floor, they couldn't easily leap up like M'Baku. By the time they could coordinate their ascent, he'd already vanished.
Furthermore, who knew if he wasn't lying in wait, ready to defeat them one by one as they ascended?
Despite their intense vigilance, there was no movement above. Only a single white cloud drifted gently across the blue sky beyond the breach.
It seemed the powerful enemy, so elusive and swift as the wind, had departed.
Glancing at the warlord's corpse lying on the ground nearby, the captain's face darkened.
Their mission had been a complete failure. The target they were protecting had been violently infiltrated from above and instantly dispatched. Then, with over a dozen rifles pointed at him, the assassin had easily escaped, leaving them without even touching the edge of his clothing. This time, their defeat was truly devastating.
"Look!"
The frustrated captain was about to order the troops to retreat when a member of the team suddenly shouted, pointing upwards.

Although they had circumvented the traps outside, the special forces were very close to their target. If they noticed anything amiss, they could quickly return to the target room to protect it.
M'Baku had charged at full speed, using his sonic cannon to quickly destroy two floors. He then leaped from the rooftop, crossing the six-meter gap between the two floors, into the target's second-floor room, and stabbed him to death with a single spear.
With his speed, he had barely eliminated his target before the special forces outside could react and rush in. It was M'Baku's enhanced physical strength, bolstered by his unique heritage, that had made the difference. His explosive power allowed him to leap three meters to the upper floors, enabling his easy escape.
Any other elite Wakandan warrior would have been stopped by them. Eliminating these special forces without a fierce battle would have been difficult. It was even possible that they would have been stopped before they could eliminate their target. By the time they had eliminated these elite special forces, the warlord's numerous soldiers would have arrived, turning the assassination into a forced assault, adding significant complications and uncertainties.
