Chapter 8 - Chapter Seven: Unwanted Visitor (원치 않는 방문자)

Jiseo's POV (Point Of View)

I limped into my grandma's restaurant with Min-ho following behind me, carrying my bag. We had to stop at a clinic on our way here to check out my ankle. Turns out I got it sprained and was advised not to put much pressure on it.

My grandma walked up to me, "Oh my gosh, what happened to your foot?" She said, looking at my foot with concern. "I sprained my ankle at school," I said before glaring at Min-ho, who dropped my bag on the empty table next to him. "Goh, on your first day of school! My baby must be in a lot of pain. Please take a seat." She said before pulling out a chair for me to sit on.

She noticed Min-ho ho who was looking around, "Who is he?" She whispered to me. Min-ho bowed to her, "I'm her classmate." My grandmother nodded in understanding, "He gave me a ride and took me to the clinic to check on my ankle." I said, leaving out the part that he was the reason why I am in this state.

"I'll be taking my leave. Goodbye, nice meeting you." Min-ho said with a bow. My grandmother thanked him one last time before he left the restaurant. I was about to get up, but my grandma made me sit again.

"Where are you going to?" She asked. "I want to change into my work clothes." I said getting up again, only to be pushed down by my grandma, "You can't work in this state. Just take some rest." She suggested.

"At least I can still help you work the register. It doesn't require much work." I said with a smile. My grandma thought for a while before she finally agreed.

Kim Min Ho POV(Point Of View)

I walked into the restaurant and saw Arin sitting down with her mother and her mom's fiancée at a table. "Sorry, I'm late, I had to do something real quick." I apologized, bowing, then looked up when I heard Arin scoff.

"Like dropping girls off at their homes, right?" She spoke with slight annoyance in her voice. Her mom gave her a warning look before facing me.

"You can have your seat, Min-ho." I bowed again before sitting down next to Arin. "Isn't Taemin coming?" Arin's mom said to Mr. Min, Taemin's dad. Mr. Min looked at his watch, and he looked annoyed.

"I feel like my name was mentioned because my dad looks pissed." A voice said, and it was no one other than the devil himself, Min Taemin.

He walked over to our table and sat down next to me. "Hey, sister." He said to Arin, who rolled her eyes. He looked at her mom and stood up before walking over to her and giving her a bow, "Mom, how are you doing?"

She smiled at him, "I'm doing fine." Taemin nodded before going back to his seat. He looked at me and raised a brow. "You were late." Mr. Min said in a calm tone, but we all know that he was hiding his rage under that sentence.

"Yeah, but I'm here, right?" Taemin said to his dad. His dad growled before banging the table in anger, which frightened both Arin and her mom, "How dare..." He was cut off when Arin's mom put her hand on his arm, "Just let him be."

Mr. Min nodded and calmed down. Then Mr. Min called the waiter to our table and we ordered our food and when the food was served, we sat quietly, eating.

"I would love to wear my engagement ring in school from now on." Arin suddenly said, breaking the silence. I dropped my cutlery loudly on my plate before looking at her, "Why?" "Because I want everyone to know that we are a couple, and they will know their place." I already knew where she was heading with this.

"I don't see any need to wear it to school." I sighed. "Why?" Arin said, almost yelling. "I also don't see any need for you wearing your ring, Arin." Her mom said. "Mom!" Arin yelled at her mom.

"Don't you think it's a good idea, Beom-jun?" She asked her fiancée, "Oh yes, Arin, no one has to know that you guys are engaged..." "Why?" Arin said, cutting him off, staring hard at him.

"Hey! Why are you using that tone to talk to him like that? Huh?" Her mom scolded. Mr. Min placed his hand on Arin's mom's hand, trying to calm her down. "Wow, this is quite a show," Taemin said, chuckling, enjoying the drama.

His dad looked at him, annoyed, "Don't speak." He warned Taemin. Taemin scoffed, "Why? Are you scared that I would say something to upset your fiancé?" Mr. Min looked at his son in anger. Taemin grinned, "Oh, I don't even need to say something to upset her. I know that one way or another, you would be the one to mess up again. Just like how you did with my mother."

Mr. Min got up from his seat and slapped Taemin in anger. Arin's mom let out a gasp in shock, "Beom jun! Why did you slap him!?" She yelled, her eyes widening in shock. "Don't bring her up." He said harshly to Taemin, ignoring his fiancé.

"Of course. After all, she was just an inconvenience to you, right?" Taemin said silently, keeping his head down in anger. He stood up from his chair and gave a slight bow, "Happy married life to you both." He almost walked away when he turned to us again, "Ah," He said, looking at Arin and me, "And to you guys too."

Then he left the private area where we were in the restaurant. Arin's mom glared at Mr. Min, who was still boiling with anger.

Min Taemin's POV (Point Of View)

I got off my bike and looked at my favorite restaurant. It's not as stylish and expensive as any five-star restaurants in Korea, but it's warm and welcoming. I smiled at the restaurant's logo, which read 'Lee's Kitchen.'

"I wonder how grandma is doing," I said to myself. I looked into the restaurant and saw a black girl. "Hmm, has Grandma hired a waitress?" Then the girl turned, and I caught a view of her face.

"Wait... Is that?" I said to myself, my brows furrowing in confusion, before I walked into the restaurant. Then she turned to me, "Welcome..." Her voice trailed away when she saw me. She quickly walked away.

"Hey! New girl!" I said, running after her, then grabbed her arm, which she removed from my grip. "Hey! I have a name!" She said, glaring at me.

"I don't care. What are you doing here?" "Oh, here?" She said before looking around, "I'm getting ready for bed." She replied with sarcasm. I rolled my eyes, then heard Grandma calling her from the kitchen.

She was about to leave, but I held her back, "You haven't answered my question." "And you, of all people, do not deserve my answer." She spat back. "Jiseo, I was calling you..." Grandma said coming to meet her, but she paused when she saw me, "Ah, Taemin, you came?" She said, smiling at me.

I bowed to her before hugging her. "You know him?" Jiseo said next to us. "Yes. Is he your friend?" Grandma asked. "Eh, no..." "Yes, I'm her friend." Jiseo glared at me while I just gave her a wink.

Grandma clapped her hands once with a gasp, "Wow, that's nice." "No, you're mistaken, I am not his..." "So uh, Grandma?" I said, interrupting Jiseo again. "Yes?" "Who is Jiseo to you?"

I needed answers because how can an Alpha be working in a place like this? "Jiseo? She's my granddaughter." "Granddaughter?" I said in confusion, glancing at Jiseo. "She decided to help me by working part-time. Isn't she sweet?" Grandma said, smiling sweetly.

Then she turned to me and gasped, "Oh my, Taemin! What happened to your cheek? It's so red." She exclaimed. The new girl looked at my cheek and chuckled, "He probably got slapped."

I stayed silent, hating that she was right. "Oh my, who slapped you like this?" Grandma asked, touching my cheek carefully. I shook my head, "It's nothing."

"Hey Jiseo, help him out by rubbing soothing lotion on his cheek." Jiseo raised a brow in shock, "Why!? He probably deserved that slap, so why should I be the one treating the scar of probably his stupidity?"

Jiseo's POV (Point Of View)

My grandma pulled my ear then released it, "Help him out. He's your friend." I rubbed my ear, pouting, "For the last time, Grandma, he is not my friend." I said, glaring at Taemin, who was enjoying the show.

"If he offended you, forgive him." My grandma said. "Yes, forgive me," Taemin said with an amused smile. I glared at him. "Ah, Grandma!" Taemin suddenly yelled, and my grandma turned to him in shock.

"What happened?" She said with worry. "It hurts," Taemin whined. I rolled my eyes, and my grandma smacked my arm. "Help him out." "If he likes, he can jump into the Han River, but I won't help him at all." I huffed.

"Then you won't eat then and I just made your favorite food, but I guess Taemin has to eat them all." My grandma said before turning to go to the kitchen, but I stopped her, "I'll do it. But you know this isn't fair, I'm your granddaughter." I whined.

"You know where the first aid box is, so help him out." She said before walking to the kitchen.

He sat down waiting for me to bring the lotion to him, and when I got to him, I just gave the lotion to him and he stared at it in confusion, "What? Haven't you seen something like this before?" I asked him with a raised brow.

"Aren't you supposed to rub this on my cheek?" He asked with a stupid grin on his face. "Didn't God bless you with hands? Apply them by yourself." I said, looking at him in disgust.

He sighed before taking a deep breath, and I watched him with irritation, "Grandma! New girl doesn't want to..." I rushed to him and placed my hand on his mouth, shutting him up.

"Are you crazy?" I asked, my eyes widening. I could feel him smirking under my palm, and I removed my hand. "So... Will you apply this on my cheek?" He said with a raised brow.

I rolled my eyes and took the lotion tube from his hand, and applied it to his cheek in anger.

A few minutes later, I went to the kitchen to get my food, then paused at the doorway when I saw the amount of food that my grandma dished out. "Grandma, what is this?" I asked in horror.

"What?" She asked, still putting more food on the plate on the left, "What is this?" I repeated. "Oh, it's food, your favorite." "I can see that, but this is too much for me," I whined.

"Not everything is for you, dummy, the one on the left is for Taemin." She replied. I stared at her in shock, "Oh, so after giving him first aid, does he also want hospital food? Isn't he rich? Let him go to a fancy restaurant to get something for himself." I said, folding my arms.

"I just came back from one," Taemin said as he was entering the kitchen. We both turned to him, and I gave my grandma a look, "See, there's no need..." "But I couldn't eat anything, though. Their food can't compete with yours." He interrupted my sentence. "Wow," I said unamused.

"Be nice, Ji seo, now you guys should go eat." She handed us our food, and we left the kitchen. I ate my food in anger while giving Taemin side glares, "If you keep glaring at me like that, then my food won't digest well." He spoke up.

I was about to retaliate but decided against it. I stood up to where I kept my bag and searched for my phone but couldn't find it. "Where's my phone?" I paused my search to think if I dropped it anywhere then that's when it hit me, "My phone is still with Kim Min ho!"
