Time passed quickly after U.A. sent out the results for the entrance exam. And before anyone knew it, graduations happened and middle school was a thing of the past for another class of students. Then, in what seemed like a blink of an eye, the first day of high school came for all the new U.A. high School Students.
"*Sigh* I'm so done with school." Tatsuo said while putting on the blazer to his new school uniform. "I mean, seriously. A week before we came here, I just finished middle school, too. And the day after I get back, I gotta start high school again. What kind of torture is this? Why can't we go to a world where I don't have to go to school?"
Despite his grumbling about school, Tatsuo was meticulous when it came to straightening out his clothes, making sure there were no wrinkles or stray threads that might make him look sloppy. Then, when he was done, he took a look at himself in the mirror.
Tatsuo then saw his reflection wearing a grey blazer with dark bluish-green stripes on both the lapels and the cuffs over a white button-down shirt with a red tie that had a gold button sewn to it. He also wore a pair of dark bluish-green slacks and a pair of freshly shined black leather shoes.
"*Sigh* I don't know who thought grey and this green-blue color was a good idea." Tatsuo said to himself while looking over his appearance in the mirror. "But I guess it can't be as bad as the gakuren I'll have to wear at Yagami High when I get back home."
Little did Tatsuo know that his preconception was completely wrong about the Yagami High uniform. Especially since he had no idea about what other crossovers were awaiting him on his first day of high school.
As for why Tatsuo did not know what his Yagami High uniform looked like only a day before school started? Well, that was Sumire's fault. Since she wanted only the best for her baby, she took care of getting Tatsuo's uniform ready. And she had it tailored with only the best materials. So, it still was not ready when Tatsuo left to take this [Mission].
"Hey! Come down fast or you won't have time to eat before heading to school." Alfonzo's shout echoed from outside of Tatsuo's room, snapping him out of his thoughts and complaints about school life.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!" Tatsuo shouted back as he turned away from his mirror and moved towards his bed where his unzipped school bag lay. Then, after making sure he had everything, including his P.E. Uniform, he zipped the bag, picked it up, and left his bedroom.
A few moments later, Tatsuo arrived at the kitchen table where Alfonzo already had an American-style breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a glass of orange juice for each of them set out on the table.
"Come on, don't look so down." Alfonzo said with a wry smile after seeing Tatsuo's expression when he sat down. "I know you already know everything the normal academic classes have to teach. But look at the bright side. For the Hero Course classes, you'll be able to use your [Quirk] all you want, get into a few fights with classmates, and watch the others beat each other up, too."
Tatsuo only shook his head in reply as he started eating breakfast.
"Oh, and just as you requested, I didn't make anything for you to take to lunch." Alfonzo said with a shrug after not getting a response to his earlier comment. "You really wanna see if Lunch Rush is as good as everyone says he is, huh?"
"Yeah." Tatsuo replied with a nod. "But if my cooking tastes better than his, I'll just start cooking breakfast myself."
"Oh, you're not gonna ask me to?" Alfonzo asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Not until I surpass you." Tatsuo replied. "Then, you'll be begging me to feed you, instead."
"Pause." Alfonzo said with a straight face. "I will never ask another man to feed me."
"Ugh!" Tatsuo only groaned in response. "I'm never gonna get used to that. You and James are really cut from the same cloth, aren't you?"
"Who knows." Alfonzo replied with a shrug. "But messing with people like you is fun as fuck."
"Whatever.' Tatsuo said uninterestedly. "Anyway, I'm gonna get going. See you later."
With that, Tatsuo started eating much faster. And after only a minute or two, his plate was empty. He then took it to the kitchen and put it in the sink before returning to pick up his bag and [Blinking] to the building's bottom floor.
"Damn... That shit is convenient." Alfonzo muttered while finishing his own breakfast.
Tatsuo arrived at the U.A. High School campus a little more than twenty minutes after leaving Alfonzo's building. When he did, he was not surprised to see Akatsuki and Sakura, wearing the U.A. girl's uniform, which was the same as the boy's uniform with the pants being switched for skirts of the same color, waiting for him at the gate.
"You two didn't have to wait for me, you know?" Tatsuo said while waving at the two girls as he approached. "We were gonna end up in the same place, after all."
Though Tatsuo only skimmed through his admission papers when he received the test results, one of the things he noticed was his class assignment, which was Class 1-A. And when Akatsuki, sakura, and Izuku came over to celebrate, they all discussed that topic. And just as they expected, they all ended up in the same class. So, just like what Tatsuo said, there was no need for Akatsuki and Sakura to wait for him at the gate.
"I said the same thing." Akatsuki said while rolling her eyes. She then bumped Sakura with her elbow as she continued. "But someone wanted to see you as early as possible. So, I had no choice but to wait here with her."
"Akatsuki-San~…" Sakura whined, clearly embarrassed at being called out so blatantly.
"Well, I'm not complaining about seeing such beautiful girls first thing in the morning." Tatsuo replied with a shrug and a smile.
While Sakura blushed at Tatsuo's compliment, Akatsuki once again rolled her eyes.
"Leave the sweet nothings for Sakura, you're way too young for me, Tatsuo-Chan." Akatsuki said as she turned around.
"I understand." Tatsuo replied with a nod as he and Sakura started walking after Akatsuki. "I'm not a loli-con either. So, you don't have to worry. You can focus all your attention on the Villain in Glasses when you get back."
"Nngh!" Akatsuki gritted her teeth so hard that Tatsuo would not have been surprised if one of her teeth cracked as she stumbled a little thanks to Tatsuo's come back. "That was a low blow, Tatsuo-Kun."
"Yeah, sorry." Tatsuo replied in a slightly sheepish tone. "I think spending so much time around Alfonzo and James over the last two weeks has started to rub off on me."
"Or it just might be the fact that you're part dragon." Sakura added. "I mean, dragons like to be the dominant ones, right? That probably even carries over to a battle of words, too."
"Honestly, I'm not sure." Tatsuo replied while shaking his head. "I haven't really learned all that much about the changes in my personality yet. I mean, I barely even notice the changes until someone points them out."
With that, the trio continued to chat as they entered the U.A. High School building, eventually making it to their classroom, Class 1-A.
"Well, now that I've been here, I won't have to walk through the corridors to get here once I'm on campus anymore." Tatsuo said as he reached out for the classroom's door. "Oh, and there are already a few people in there. And one of them… is lying on the ground in the corner… in a sleeping bag…"
Understanding what Tatsuo was referring to, as they have been talking about what to expect during their time at U.A., Akatsuki and Sakura nodded their heads as Tatsuo opened the classroom door and made room for them to enter first.
"It's weird to see you do something so gentlemanly after saying something so rude earlier." Akatsuki said while walking into the classroom.
"You're gonna be mad about that for a long time, aren't you, Akatsuki-San?" Sakura asked while following Akatsuki inside.
Akatsuki only smiled in response as she, sakura, and Tatsuo scanned the faces that were already in the room when they entered. And just as Tatsuo said, there were a few people already in the classroom, four to be exact.
The first of those four people was a tall girl, standing at about 5'8", with a rather developed figure, long black hair tied into a spiky ponytail and a long lock of hair falling over the right side of her face, large, but sharp, black eyes, and a determined expression sitting in the backrow of the classroom with her head down while reading a book.
The second student they noticed was a bespectacled boy standing at 5'10 with a wide, sturdy frame, short, neatly -styled bluish-black hair parted to the right, and blue eyes reprimanding another student for propping his feet on the desk he was sitting at.
And the last student, the one the bespectacled boy was reprimanding was Bakugo Katsuki, who looked as if he was barely even registering the words the other boy had to say. Instead, he was glaring at the three new arrivals with such ferocity that someone might think that he was about to start throwing explosions at the drop of a dime.
"Hey! Are you listening?" The bespectacled boy asked in an irritated tone. "It's rude to ignore people while they are talking to you. And take your feet off of the desk right this instant. You are showing disrespect to all the seniors who have studied in these---"
"Pipe down, Four-Eyed Extra." Katsuki said as he lowered his feet from the desk and stood up.
The bespectacled boy was completely taken aback when he heard Katsuki speak. And before he could get his wits back about him, Katsuki had already stood up and started walking towards Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura with that same ferocious expression on his face.
"What do you want, Bakugo-Kun?" Akatsuki asked in a bored tone. "You're not gonna try and intimidate us again, are you?"
To Akatsuki's surprise, Bakugo did not start growling immediately. Instead, he made eye contact with Akatsuki and Sakura for a moment. Then, he moved on to Tatsuo, who was standing behind the two girls.
"You the guy that came in second during the entrance exam?" Katsuki asked gruffly.
"Yeah." Tatsuo replied with a shrug. "If I had more wide-ranged attacks, I could have come in first. I only lost by a point, after all.'
"That doesn't matter." Katsuki replied in the same tone while repeatedly shifting his gaze between the faces of the trio. "I'm gonna pass all three of you. No one can be number one but me. Got it?"
In response, Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura exchanged glances for a moment. Then, they all turned back to Katsuki with neutral expressions on their faces.
"Whatever floats your boat, dude." Tatsuo replied with a shrug. "I don't even care about my ranking in the end."
Not only was Katsuki surprised to hear that. Even the bespectacled boy widened his eyes while adjusting his glasses that slid down his face due to his surprise. On top of that, the girl, who had been lost in the pages of her book, raised her head to look towards the door, as well.
"The only reason I'm here is to improve." Tatsuo said as his expression turned serious. "And the only person I've ever found worthy for me to consider a rival is myself. Just being better than the person I was yesterday is all the gratification I need."
Akatsuki and Sakura nodded in agreement with Tatsuo's words while both the black-haired girl and the bespectacled boy began thinking deeply about what he said.
"Hmph!" Katsuki snorted after he snapped back to the here and now. He then turned around and started walking back to his desk. "Whatever. Just don't get in my way, Soramoto."
When Akatsuki and Sakura heard Katsuki refer to Tatsuo by his surname, they both widened their eyes in surprise.
"That's the first time I've ever heard him call someone anything other than some kind of extra." Akatsuki muttered in surprise.
"Does that mean he respects Tatsuo-Kun?" Sakura asked in bewilderment.
"Who knows." Tatsuo replied with a shrug. "Anyway, let's get out of the doorway. We don't wanna be in the way if someone else shows up."
Nodding in response, the trio stepped forward. Then, they looked at the board at the front of the classroom to see their seating assignments before they gathered at Sakura's desk, which was located in the middle of the classroom.
At the same time, the last person in the room, the one curled up in the sleeping bag, poked his head of messy black hair out of the top of the sleeping bag and looked in the direction the trio went.
"Maybe there's more to him than I first gave him credit for." The man in the sleeping bag, Aizawa Shota whispered to himself while watching the trio chat amongst themselves as the bespectacled boy made his way over to them to introduce himself. "Even so, anyone can say pretty words. The real test will be seeing how hard he's willing to work to improve."
After that, Aizawa pulled his head back into his sleeping bag and closed his eyes, trying to get a few more minutes of sleep before the school day started while tuning out the increasing amount of noise filling the classroom as more students arrived.
