That boring exchange earlier had nearly put him to sleep. Now that Super Saiyan had appeared, his interest was finally a little piqued.

Everyone else also calmed down.

His punches were so fast they left afterimages, and each attack was delivered with full force.
The destructive power was immense, enough to shatter a giant mountain.
Unfortunately, while his offensive was strong, his speed fell short. In their previous battles, Vegeta had already seen through all of Nappa's moves.
Now, no matter how Nappa attacked, it didn't faze him at all. He didn't even have to think; his body could dodge every one of Nappa's attacks on its own.
The fight continued to heat up.
Nappa's relentless punches and kicks came at Vegeta like a raging storm, but failed to inflict any real damage.
[Damn it!! He's completely seen through my attack patterns. I have to change my tactics, I can't keep fighting him in close combat.] Nappa's mind was racing, searching for a way to break the deadlock.
Just then, a sudden flash of inspiration struck him. His right hand's five fingers gathered energy as he swung a powerful punch straight at Vegeta's chest.
This time, Vegeta didn't dodge. He crossed his arms in front of him, easily blocking Nappa's devastating blow.
"Is this all you've got, Nappa?" The corners of Vegeta's mouth curled up confidently, his princely arrogance on full display.
"Don't celebrate too soon, Vegeta!" Nappa responded. Suddenly, a golden light flashed on his fist.
