If Silas wanted to keep his mind clear, then there was no way he was letting Ebenezer Ashford's tongue or teeth anywhere near his skin.

"No." Came his curt and certain answer as he tore his eyes from the vampire.

Ebenezer smirked at the reply he had so clearly expected.

"So, you would rather let me starve? That's a little cruel, don't you agree?" Ebenezer tried to appeal to the tiniest bit of humanity in the wizard but the unwavering golden eyes that were silently watching him told him he was having close to no luck.

"I am not obliged to feed you." Silas clearly rubbed his refusal in his face and Ebenezer feigned a hurt expression.

"Fine. I won't pounce on you and forcefully take your blood while you sleep." Ebenezer gave in and he was impressed with the subtle look of confusion that flashed through Silas' eyes before he hid it under a calm and composed demeanor.
