Chapter 7 - 7:Leaving For The Capital

"What took you two so long? "

Seeing Raymond's despondent and sweaty state, and his daughters unusually cheery expression however he already had an inkling of what went down.

"We were lost on the way Mr. Grace, but El- master in her infinite wisdom managed to correct our way. "

"..."

Silently reciting a prayer for Raymond in his heart. Rayez coughed in order to get their attention.

"Ahem ahem, well I called you two today for something important. The two of you will be graduating from the New Rayan Middle School For Elites soon and as is mandated by the government due to your high potential scores, the two of you must now go to the Academy for Heroes in the capital. "

"Also congratulations for graduating at the top of your classes Raymond. Ellen don't be sad about getting second place okay? Daddy's still very proud of you as well. "

"Mr. Grace since I got first place can I ask for a reward?"

He rubbed his chin for a bit. Before nodding.

"Sure, as a matter of fact the both of you can get a reward as long as its not too much. "

'Hehe. '

Raymond mentally rubbed his hands together like a fly. He had planned for a day like this for a long time.

"I want an ice cream machine in my room! With unlimited ingredients an-

" no. "

...

"It's not fair! It's not fair! It's not fair!"

"Can you stop your whining. Aren't you way older then me so why do you still act like a kid?"

"Because it's not fair! Our dad is literally a billionaire! An ice cream machine with the ingredients even if I ate ice cream for every meal for the rest of my life it wouldn't be able to even put a dent in his wallet!"

She sighed and picked up a few clothes before throwing them at him.

"We're moving to the capital anyways so your ice cream machine would be useless. Help me fold these and pack them for me. "

He also sighed. Diligently folding each one so that there no creases. Each time he finished folding one she would throw three more at him.

"I should have created a spell to help with folding clothes. "

"Why didn't you? "

"Why the hell would I ever need such a spell? All my robes are self-cleaning and back when I lived on Earth I wouldn't need to fold clothes since it was just me."

"Wait, so you literally just wear the same robes over and over again? Gods that's disgusting. "

"Do you understand what the word self-cleaning means?"

Packing her clothes into another luggage. Raymond mentally added on his bucket list that he would get his revenge for this.

Finally after packing over twenty different massive luggages to the brim. He used a float spell to lift them all up and into the truck waiting outside by sending it out of the window. As for his own luggage, he had just shoved it all into several different storage bags before shoving those into one singular luggage.

Efficiency beat looks. Her clothes may look nicer while folded but they would look the same when worn.

Shoving the last of her luggage into the truck alongside his one singular luggage. He wished that he had servants to help him with this.

But no, billionaire Rayez wanted him and Ellen to learn the value of hard work. They would have no servants or anything to help them. The entire mansion was empty aside from a few cooks, gardeners and cleaners.

"He's right you know. "

Her voice suddenly rang out behind him. Turning to face her, his expression confused. His light blue eyes met hers. Her once blue eyes had now become a brilliant kaleidoscope, evidence of her awakening her powers.

"Huh?"

"Dad is right you know, if we had servants for everything I might have grown up to be like one of those arrogant bastards. "

"No how could you tell what I was thinking? "

"You face was all gloomy while you were lifting all the luggage, it's not hard to tell what you were thinking off. "

"Ugh, shut up"

He hated how her eyes seem to gaze into him so deeply. It was seriously way too creepy!

Her eyes would just let her see really far off and see the weak points of enemies. Yet everytime he made eye contact with her. It made him feel weirded out with how striking they were.

It also didn't help that she was currently taller then him!

Raymond the great Archmage may have been only a little bit above average at 174.7 cm (yes the .7 was extremely important) but the fact that she towered over him (she was only 1.2 cm taller) was enough to shred his last few scraps of pride.

At least in the future he would be taller. When that would happen was unknown but sometimes knowing the end result was enough to give one hope. It didn't seem that far off thankfully, since Raymond remembered very well that he stopped growing taller when he as 17.

Seeing the truck with all their belongings drive off into the distance, he turned back towards her and extended a hand.

"Shall we?"

Rayez had given them both enough money to take the train to go to the capital. Unfortunately, not enough for first class.

So Raymond made the obvious more smarter decision.

'I'm the goddamm Archmage of Dimension Magic! '

Even moving between dimensions was easy work for him at his peak and with the four years that passed, enough of his strength had recovered to cast a basic teleport.

How much of his strength had recovered was unknown to him. He had resealed the system a few days after he rewound time.

It was different compared to the seal he put on Earth. On Earth, it was a complete sealing. He sealed the system away with all his stats, skills and knowledge in order to live a normal life.

Now on Terra, he only partially sealed the system. He still had access to all the stats, bonuses and knowledge. He was just unable to open the system. Well, he was still weakened actually so he didn't have any bonuses or such right now but he did have some of his stats.

He did this in order to better hide from the punishment from rewinding time. He wasn't sure exactly who or where the punishment came from. But those monsters were well aware of the system.

He shuddered a bit when he remembered the first time he fought those monsters.

'Curse my own generosity. Why did I decide to do such a thing just for this dimension.'

He was really just too nice of a guy for his own good. Feeling Ellen's hand in his, he summoned his staff and after quadruple checking his magic and mana reserves. Making sure that the coordinates were correct he casted the spell.

"Teleport!"

...

In the past four years, Ellen had become increasingly sure now after observing Raymond's behavior

'He doesn't know'

And why would he? Her eyes were a secret that she had never ever told anyone about. Sure she had told Zachary and his group about how it let her see further and see weak points but that was just the tip of the iceberg. The fact he seemed unaware also meant that he was probably unaware of many other things as well.

Even she didn't know what exactly her eyes saw. But she could see. Raymond, he was surrounded by red, everywhere. Blue was some kind of weakpoint where as red was just there.

She didn't know what the red was, so far only Zachary and Raymond were the only ones to be absolutely covered in red like this. A few others she knew also had a decent amount of red but some people just didn't have any red at all.

Was it talent? But Noelle wasn't as talented as her and yet Noelle had more red. And if it was talent then several others she knew should also have been equally as red as her.

Whatever it was, it was a secret that even she couldn't figure out with all her knowledge and experience.

The regression caused by Raymond was a godsend but that punishment he mentioned still scared her. Monsters as strong as SS- rank that would periodically show up to try and kill you for disturbing the timeline? That sounded like something straight out of a comic, she wished it was just a joke but she could tell. Raymond wasn't the type to lie about things like that.

At least however, she was now much stronger. Immediately on her tenth birthday after awakening her eye powers she had begged her father to let her practice their family's strongest techniques and skills.

Compared to her past self who had been stumbling in the dark, she now knew exactly what and where to go.

Based on her estimates, the current her would be able to wipe the floor with a dozen of the past 14 year old hers.

Which was why she agreed to Raymond's teleport. It would let her reach the capital 4 days before the entrance exam. Enough time for her to utilize her knowledge to grow stronger.

Turning to Raymond who held his hand towards her, she smiled on the inside.

She now just so happened to have a very strong and very knowledgeable servant who would listen to her every beck and call.

Not that she would ever abuse it. She was thankful to Raymond for giving her this second chance. She would never treat him like a slave when he had done so much for her.

But it was definitely fun to tease and mess around with him.

Having someone who had so much knowledge about the world by her side was nice as well. Trying to hide the fact that she was a regressor had nearly killed her. It was like knowing a massive secret about one of your classmates and being unable to tell anyone.

If it weren't for Raymond's warnings of what would happen she likely would have spilled everything already to her parents.

Grabbing his outstretched hand, she took a deep breath.

Once they reached the capital was when her plans could truly start. She squeezed her other hand, digging her nails into the flesh of her palm.

'I will save everyone, no matter what it takes!'
