"What do you mean, Yan's been kidnapped?" Zach asked, confused. He had just returned to Emberise after getting his hands on the Thousand-Year Poison Marble. It hadn't been easy, but it had been rewarding in multiple ways. It had gone so well that he had temporarily forgotten something.
When things go too well, it's always because something bad is waiting around the corner. Usually, it happens to Zach. But this time, it happened to Yan.
"What about Lahso?"
Rienne and Vera looked at each other before turning to Taub. They were going to let him do the explaining.
Taub didn't get up from his stool in the corner, but he raised his head and turned to Zach.
Even from a distance, Zach smelled like poison. He wasn't injured or even dirty, but from the air around him and his familiars, it was clear that they had been to the Bottomless Myriad Poison Valley.
