After arriving, Antha took their group and arranged rooms for them, with Nikolai's being in the west wing and the girls all settled in the east wing. For him to meet them, he'd have to clear the main hallway, which made things a little difficult.

Unless married, men and women rarely slept in the same area; well, Nikolai thought this was normal for most cultures. Thus, he didn't complain; his relationship with Zara remained in an ambiguous period. They weren't lovers yet, despite the kiss.

She glanced at him, then turned her head away, like a rabbit facing a wolf.
