Little Pumpkin happily looked around, as Nan Mufeng came out of the kitchen wearing a floral apron, "Son, dinner's ready!"
"Daddy's cooking! Daddy's awesome! Are there fries?"
"There are. And your favorite ketchup!" Nan Mufeng smiled slightly, "Come and sit down to eat!"
"Oh yeah, awesome!" Little Pumpkin sat down, ready to eat.
Jian Xi stopped him, "Have some soup first, it will whet your appetite."
She served two bowls of soup, one for Little Pumpkin and one for herself.
"Do you have a habit of drinking soup?" Nan Mufeng asked.
"Mm, it's good for the stomach."
Nan Mufeng frowned slightly, "When did your stomach get messed up?"
"I don't remember, it's been bad these past few years. But it's okay, just pay more attention to diet."
Nan Mufeng took note silently. After dinner, he soaked some millet to prepare porridge for Jian Xi later that evening.
