A shock went through Alex's mind and body as he stared at the old man in front of him for a while.
His body didn't move at all as he stared in shock and confusion.
Until a few moments later, Alex gathered his wits.
"Lucifer? As in the king of hell? As in the devil himself?" Alex asked as his brows furrowed.
"I guess people do call me that though I prefer calling myself an angel of god." the old man, or rather Lucifer said as he looked at Alex.
Sigh
"And I'm guessing you do know about the past me do you?" Alex asked Lucifer as he went and grabbed a counter chair and sat down on it, placing his arms in front of the counter.
Lucifer nodded as he went behind the counter and inside a room where he took two glasses and a bottle of wine.
"I keep this for special occasions." The old angel said as he filled a glass with wine and slid it toward Alex before filling one for himself and putting away the wine bottle.
"Thank you, I'd like for you to tell me more about Alexander and Aamon, is that fine?" Alex asked Lucifer as he took a swing of the wine.
Its taste was exquisite, beyond any wine he had ever tasted before in his life.
"It's flavourful," Alex said as he put the glass down.
Lucifer nodded his head before he started talking once more.
"I can tell you about yourself however I can't tell you much about Aamon, he keeps his secrets very close to himself, so even I, someone who could be classified as his ruler does not know much about him. All that I know is that he can be considered a mistake, a deviation from the natural order and laws of the world. If something is impossible then Aamon can make it possible. That's the basis of his power, I don't know any specifics about it or its inner workings." Lucifer said as he took a sip of the wine.
"I see, I i guess ill just have to deal with it as I go," Alex said with a soft sigh.
"I do wonder though as to why you haven't become aggressive to me yet," Lucifer asked curiously.
"It's because you have yet to show any animosity to me, you have even helped me with that book that I got a few months back, otherwise we wouldn't be having this calm discussion whilst drinking fine wine," Alex said as his lips curled upwards.
"I guess so," Lucifer said as he released a soft chuckle.
"What about the past me, what can you tell me about him," Alex questioned after a few moments of silence.
"Alexander, the first vampire to ever exist, also known as the Vampire Progenitor or Vampire God, is the only creature in the entire world to truly be immortal and possess extreme amounts of physical strength and speed. As well as countless abilities that just made him an overall pain to deal with. There was no way to win against Alexander, he was too fast, too strong, too powerful, and finally too experienced. Alexander had a time where he held the hobby of joining war simply for the fun of it, his countless battles earned him another title, the God of Combat, though his monickers have long since been forgotten by the world after he went into hiding a couple thousand years ago." Lucifer said as he explained slowly to Alex.
'Vampire God, War God... just how fucking powerful was this body in your hands Alexander?' Alex wondered as he imagined himself in the middle of a battlefield fighting hundreds and thousands of soldiers, all of them falling before him as if they were nothing but flies in front of a large sun.
'Terrifying.' Alex thought as he clenched his hand.
"There's actually a question that I wanted to ask you, how did you lose your memories? Do you remember?" Lucifer asked as he looked at Alex curiously.
Alex hummed for a moment.
"I guess you could say that I didn't actually lose my memories, it is more similar to the me of now being a split personality of the past Alexander," Alex said as he took another sip of the wine.
"A split personality? Does that mean that 'he' is still in there?" Lucifer asked, his eyes narrowed slightly however this didn't escape Alex's sight.
"He is, if I were to get unconscious though achieving that is almost impossible then the 'he' would take over," Alex said as he looked at Lucifer with a slight smile.
Lucifer narrowed his eyes further as he clenched the wine bottle harder.
Bang
The glass broke as wine splattered all over Lucifer's hand and on the table.
"What's wrong Lucifer?" Alex asked as his smile grew larger.
"So you were simply making fun of me the whole time," Lucifer said as he stood up from his seat.
"Making fun? No of course not, wasn't it you that was lying the entire time? Not knowing the abilities of Amon? Really?" Alex said as he stood seated, swirling the remaining wine that was still in his glass.
"Do you think I'm scared of you Alexander?" Lucifer said as his eyes started glowing a bright red as if an inferno of fire had ignited in them.
"You scared of me? Of course, you are Lucifer." Alex said as he lifted his eyes to look at the old man.
Their gazes locked with each other, and neither moved for a few moments until Lucifer removed his gaze and sat down, his eyes returning to normal once more.
Alex similarly removed his gaze and drank the last of the wine.
"The truth serum almost worked for a while. Good job." Alex said before turning around and heading out of the library.
'Fuck, bluffing actually worked.' Alex thought inwardly, as he walked out of the library and into the roads of Port Angeles.
When he had learned that the man was Lucifer, Alex had been terrified however he knew that if Amon didn't know what exactly had happened then no one knew.
He had used this fact to direct the course of the conversation how he had wanted.
Alex didn't know if what the man had said was a lie however he had decided to confirm it based on the reaction that he showed.
'That bastard really is the devil, spouting out lies with a straight face.' Alex thought though he decided to ignore the fact that he had done similar actions himself.
