Chapter 3 - Might of rage

Hades, the god of the underworld, sat upon his throne, a sly smile spreading across his face. He watched with great interest as Zeus, the king of the gods, stormed out of Poseidon's palace, his anger and fury boiling over.

A small, insignificant fly buzzed around Hades' head, landing on his shoulder as he leaned back in his throne. The fly seemed to sense Hades' amusement, and it too began to buzz with excitement.

Hades' eyes gleamed with malevolence as he watched Zeus' tantrum. He had expected as much from his brother, who was notorious for his short temper and lack of foresight.

The fly on Hades' shoulder seemed to be enjoying the show, buzzing and flitting about with excitement. Hades reached up a hand and gently stroked the fly's tiny body, a look of amusement on his face.

"Ah, Zeus," Hades said, his voice low and menacing. "You are so predictable. You think you are a god, but you are nothing but a foolish mortal, blinded by your own ego and ambition."

The fly on Hades' shoulder seemed to agree with him, buzzing loudly as if in approval. Hades chuckled, a low, menacing sound, and leaned back in his throne, steepling his fingers together as he watched Zeus' antics with great interest.

The game was afoot, and Hades was ready to play. He would watch Zeus' every move, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. And when he did, Zeus would fall, and Hades would reign supreme.

Zeus, the king of the gods, stood atop Mount Olympus, his piercing gaze surveying the realm below. His mind was consumed by the growing threat of Hades, who dared to challenge his authority.

With a wave of his hand, Zeus summoned the Olympian council, convening an emergency meeting to discuss the rising menace of Hades. The gods and goddesses of Olympus gathered around the grand table, their faces filled with concern and curiosity.

Zeus' voice boomed through the hall, his words laced with urgency. "Brothers and sisters, we gather here today to address a grave threat to our authority and our realm. Hades, the god of the underworld, has grown too powerful, too arrogant. He must be stopped."

The gods nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. However, one god dared to oppose Zeus' plan.

Ares, the god of war, sneered at Zeus, his voice dripping with mockery. "Afraid of Hades, are you, Zeus? Afraid of his might and his power?"

Zeus' face darkened, his eyes flashing with anger. "I am not afraid of Hades, Ares. I am concerned for the stability of our realm. Hades' actions threaten to upset the balance of power."

Ares chuckled, his laughter echoing through the hall. "The balance of power? Ha! You mean your own power, Zeus. You're afraid that Hades will usurp your throne."

The other gods shifted uncomfortably, their eyes darting between Zeus and Ares. Zeus' face turned red with rage, his fist clenched at his side.

"How dare you, Ares!" Zeus thundered. "I am the king of the gods, and I will not be challenged by the likes of you or Hades."

Ares shrugged, his grin still plastered on his face. "I'm just stating the truth, Zeus. You're afraid of Hades, and you're trying to rally us to your cause."

The Olympian council erupted into chaos, the gods arguing and debating among themselves. Zeus' plan to stop Hades had been met with opposition, and the fate of Olympus hung in the balance.

The skies above Mount Olympus darkened, as if the very heavens themselves were sensing the impending clash between Zeus and Ares. The air was electric with tension, the gods and goddesses of Olympus watching in awe as the two powerful deities faced off.

Zeus, the king of the gods, stood tall, his eyes blazing with fury. His iconic lightning bolts crackled with energy at his fingertips, ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice.

Ares, the god of war, sneered at Zeus, his eyes flashing with defiance. He charged forward, his spear at the ready, but Zeus was unfazed.

With a swift and deadly motion, Zeus struck Ares with a blast of lightning, sending the god of war crashing to the ground. The sound of Ares' screams echoed through the skies as Zeus continued to unleash his wrath upon him.

Bolt after bolt of lightning struck Ares, each one landing with precision and deadly force. The god of war's body was battered and bruised, his armor scorched and blackened.

As the beating continued, Zeus summoned the thunders from above, the skies themselves seeming to shudder and tremble with the force of his wrath. The gods and goddesses of Olympus watched in horror, their faces pale with fear.

The thunders descended upon Ares, each one striking him with incredible force. The god of war's body was lifted off the ground, suspended in mid-air by the sheer power of Zeus' wrath.

Ares' screams grew weaker, his body battered and broken. Zeus stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion, his eyes blazing with fury.

Finally, with one final blast of lightning, Zeus struck Ares to the ground, the god of war's body motionless and still. The skies above Olympus grew quiet, the thunders ceasing their drumbeat.

Zeus stood tall, his chest still heaving with exertion, his eyes blazing with fury. He had demonstrated his wrath and rage, and none would dare challenge him again.

Hades, the god of the underworld, sat upon his throne, a sly smile spreading across his face as he watched the events unfolding above. He could see Zeus, the king of the gods, standing tall and proud, but Hades knew the truth - Zeus was a fool, blind to the threat that Hades posed.

With a wave of his hand, Hades summoned the shadows around him, and the whispers of the dead echoed through the underworld. He laughed, a low, menacing sound, as he watched Zeus' antics.

"You think you are a god, Zeus?" Hades said, his voice dripping with mockery. "You think you can control the fates of mortals and gods alike? I will show you true power."

Just then, a figure emerged from the shadows - Aragon, the young warrior who had caught Hades' eye. Aragon bowed low, his eyes fixed on Hades.

"My lord," Aragon said, his voice firm and respectful. "The chosen 17 are ready to meet you. They have completed their training and are eager to prove themselves."

Hades' smile grew wider, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He leaned forward, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone.

"Ah, excellent," Hades said. "I have been waiting for this moment. Bring them before me, Aragon. I will reveal to them their true purpose, and the role they will play in bringing down Zeus and claiming the throne of Olympus."

Aragon nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. He knew that he was part of something greater, something that would change the course of history. And with Hades as his leader, he knew that nothing could stop them.
