No one seemed to notice the new appearance in the front row or maybe their senses were too prestigious to notice someone below them. The person appeared to be casually dressed. Too casual at that.
He was not that tall just six feet tall. Green eyes and tanned black natural hair falling behind him in waves then gently landing on his shoulder laying there unbothered. The person was wearing saddles which further proved he was a commoner. A very young person not more than sixteen years old.
He wore a red t-shirt and his pants were black. No one even seemed to note the diamond token in his left hand. They even seemed to be oblivious of his existence.
It was a few seconds later when they all saw someone walking towards the guards. They thought it was just a simple commoner who decided to throw away his life. He reached Alfred's standing position and threw a casual glance at the latter.
Something they never expected to ever happen. Who dared to look at a noble so casually? Maybe he had a death wish. But maybe it was because his appearance was too sudden that caused all eyes to land on him with no one taking action. His casual steps even when he felt their gazes turn into glares did not falter.
Anyone else would have already have dropped you their knees due to the pressure but the kid just casually ignored it all. He was steps away from the guards when someone among the crowd made just a casual remark but it was resounding discovery.
"A Cryptic Plane kid huh. I wonder since when they have turned too brazen to even ignore us all." It was as though a fog had been cleared from their eyes and they all made the same conclusion. The weakest person here was in the Salvia Plane if you ignored the kid.
They could not help but wonder how someone in the Cryptic Plane managed to get past them all. Nobody felt a push and he appeared right in front of them all. But the guards were the most shocked when they saw the kid smile.
They felt like he was testing them. But the person himself could not help but wonder what was taking them so long to identify the diamond token in his hand! He stood in front of a guard and raised his hand and opened his palm revealing the diamond token which he had been displaying all the time he was walking.
The guards looked at him casually thinking about what tricks the kid was playing. Seemingly his eyes kept omitting the diamond token. The arm was stretched for a few second and another sudden remark came from the crowd.
"Diamond token."
Nobody seemed to know who said these words but they looked around for carriages but when they returned their gaze to the kid, yet another fog was cleared from their eyes as they saw the whatever was in the kids palm.
There was no mistaking the diamond token and even Alfred was left wide eyes his mouth agape as he saw the first wonder of his life. Since when was the auction house snatching tokens from big families and giving diamond tokens to commoners? It really was a wonder.
But in the next instant, his expression turned ugly. He deserved the token a million times more than the kid in the Cryptic Plane. How had a Cryptic Plane kid even managed to get his hands on the token. Alfred was overwhelmed with anger as he stepped forward about to charge at the kid but he stopped immediately feeling an oppression and a cold sweat ran down his spine.
He could either lose his life for attacking or get permanently crippled before impairing his Family. He stopped on his tracks as he observed the guard pick the diamond token from the kid and scrutinize it from end to end, side to side and even the marked room did exist. It was room number one!
Just who was this kid who could afford the first room? The first room was always a room for the VIP! And to their shock today, the VIP was a Cryptic Plane kid! A wonder they could not wrap their minds around. He was even too weak to have killed someone for it and the only explanation was that he had gotten the token from the Head!
Thinking to this point, the guards did not dare scrutinize the VIP or they would risk their lives and job. The guard returned the token to the kid and allowed him to pass. Alfred was watching with gritted teeth and clenched fist not even aware of the lood trickling from his palms.
He fumed and took a while to calm himself down as he watched the elevator open. Once again, the kid threw a casual glance at him and gave a smile that was probably a charming one to ladies had they not been too shocked by the change of events.
Alfred saw it as a mocking smile and it was the last thing he saw as the kid vanished as the elevator closed. He had been humiliated! He was surely going to make the kid pay him back. No one could insult the Louis Family and expect to survive.
The crowd was shocked for a moment but in the next second, grins appeared on them. All getting ready to charge to the ground floor. The ground floor had just one entrance and that was a huge door thet could only be described as a gate since it was almost twenty meters wide.
The entrance was around fifty meters away from the guards and they were all raring to go. The guards seeing the VIP disappear, they quickly too vanished and the crowd seeing this, they did not hesitate as they all charged towards the entrance.
Alfred and his gang were caught offguard and almost ran down by the crowd. Had he not quickly entered the carriage, he would have been trampled on. His anger only seemed to increase as the carriage kept shaking. The charging crowd pushing it between themselves.
Had it not been for its strong foundation, it would definitely be crushed under the mighty pressure of Salvia Plane cultivators. But still, the carriage did take some damage. The wolves were almost trampled on and the guards were rendered completely useless and had to take refuge in the carriage.
This was further humiliation. The kid was really going to pay for this but he could only be blamed. After all, the reason the guards had waited was because of an order that said that they had to make sure that all the diamond token wielders including the VIP arrived before they left.
Alfred who wanted to remain and see the last wielder while he had a gold token could only blame himself for had he entered before, he would have received the guards protection. But the guards knew too well that their task ended with the final diamond token wielder appearing.
Outside the carriage, the crowd all charged towards the entrance. Flying was impossible and they could only ran at their top speed. Those with speed elements taking the lead. When they reached the door, only the first few around thriry were lucky before the entrance was flooded and they had to scramble for the entrance and those behind had to put pressure on those in front so that they could also have a chance to have those behind them to push them inside.
It was a very funny scene actually. Funny how people allowed themselves to get controlled too easily. Funny because they were behaving like dogs just because they were going to have a free entry. But they did not care. What would matter if they all saw the same thing as those VIPs who paid to have the luxurious rooms?
It took a few minutes before more than a thousand had entered and the lower floor was flooded with people. Those who arrived first took the luxury of standing in front near the stage where they would see everything clearly with no bodies to obstract them.
Those who were late and found themselves stranded with no standing space could only blame themselves as they left reluctantly. Soon the auction was going to start. The fun auction was going to start!
It did not take long before a various flashing light beams appeared on the stage and all parts of the auction house were closed making it completely dark and the only light source coming from the lights. But they too disappeared.
The crowd on the lower floors was excited. They could not help but cheer and as though they in cue, the different coloured beams of light appeared at the tenth floor. It was then one would realize it was a platform suspended in the air.
But that was wrong because it was floating on its own and it was also going down. On the platform, one could see a shadow and it was a person obviously. It was impossible to tell the gender and even their dressing. The platform descended slowly and when the ppatform finally landed, the cheers erupted once more.
It was hard to believe that this was an auction. Just this entrance was top notch. Many auction houses did not even have an entrance and only allowed those at the top of the food chain. But this auction house was different and the fact that they even allowed those who could not stand a chance to buy anything made it more appealing to the masses. It was one of the reasons it was among the best in the Empire.
The platform landed with a thunderous bang but rather than being noisy, it sent a deep bass to the chest of the crowd in the lower floors. They were the reason there were flashy entrances in the first place.
The platform finally landed and the blinding and flashing lights disappeared as the crowd went silent. It was all dark once again and,
Boom!
