Chapter 339 - We Won't Let You Die

Many years ago, Land of Stone

A younger Blu and Blossom playfully ran around the courtyard of the Great Stone Temple while watching their father's quiet whispers directed towards the rock that stood right in the middle. "You don't usually bring us all the way out here to pray, Dad!" Blu called out, aggressively patting him on the head about five times before being pulled away by Blossom. Humbly, he turned his head up and smiled at his children. "I believe you guys are old enough to understand what the Prophecy of Stone truly is," he informed them, admiring the intriguing glow that had ignited in both of their eyes. "You see the flower growing in the middle of the rock?" he asked both of them, pointing straight to it to support his point. "It is said when that flower fully blooms, the Realm God would have already rid the entity world of evil and restored order." He smiled at Blu and Blossom's oohs and aahs, but the vivid memory that was currently playing in both their heads faded to a more recent memory of the rock currently - about a decade later, the vibrant buds of the flower were finally preparing to bloom, and the date when they would see if the Prophecy of Stone was true or not grew closer and closer with each passing day. "This," Yakasa's voice repeated inside their heads, referencing the time when he had taught both of them about the prophecy.

"THIS IS THE PROPHECY OF STONE!" they both shouted, charging straight towards the child who was now in stage 2 of his Pyron transformation. "Even if our arms feel like they're going to fall off our bodies, WE AREN'T GOING TO GIVE UP THIS FIGHT!" Blossom screamed with the passionate side of her personality, landing a punch to the child's forcefield in perfect sync with her sister. Her red hair continued to follow the unusual behavior of the wind currents created by the Pyron variant, lighting up with even just the weakest ember of fire. "Blossom, he's going to make a move!" Blu warned, pushing her sister away before it was too late - but now, she was the one caught in Pyron's crossfire and watched in horror as the giant fireball beamed straight towards her. In the nick of time, Blossom managed to pay her sister back by blocking the fireball with her bleeding hand, and the sparks coming straight from the fire scattered across the cave. "I won't let you risk your life for me, no matter who we're up against…" Blossom declared, "for I will always save you!"

Their minds traced back to the child, who had turned his focus off of them and was sprinting towards the exit at a fast pace. "We can't let him get to the city!" Blu declared, attempting to run but ultimately worn down by the weight her wounds had on her body. Helplessly, her and Blossom stood side by side as they helplessly watched the child escape the cave.

This was the end, or was it? A distant, blue light appeared on the other side of the hallway next to a purple light, and they both raced over to the ember of fire that acted like Pyron's forcefield. Gerald's leg and Kevin's fist collided with his forcefield, shattering it into pieces and dragging Pyron across the dirt. "We won't LET YOU DIE!" they both screamed in unison with their attack.

"Looks like my senses were right!" Kevin admired, proudly laughing at his improvements. His smile faded as soon as he saw Blu and Blossom, who seemed to have no more fight left in them. "Gerald, go take them back to the Great Armor," he ordered, pointing straight towards the mutated child. "I'll be the one to fight him."

Volume 13, Chapter 19 - We Won't Let You Die

Blu and Blossom were now breathing heavily, the pool of blood continuing to grow with even the slightest movement. "Where's Yakasa?" Gerald asked both of them, pulling off the matching coats both of them had over their clothes. "He attempted to lead Gai away from the battlefield - I stopped sensing power from his direction a few minutes ago, but I'm not sure who won the fight." Blossom followed up. Gerald nodded in response, applying pressure to their wounds so the bleeding could be restricted. "Are you sure Kevin's going to win the battle against him?" Blu asked, still scared of the vision that would come to be if he lost. Gerald turned his head up towards Kevin's purple light, followed by a small chuckle. "Back when we were kids, Kevin vowed to never lose after we endured that entity attack… that's a promise he's still held even to the present day, so I'm certain he won't lose this fight!" Blu's frown changed to a smile. "Even if he isn't here right now, I see Father in that boy… but can he really change the world?"

---

Yakasa tightly tied a blue handkerchief to his shoulder that was stained with blood shortly after and plopped his face into the wet grass. The ponytail he had created had untied, completely exposing his long, black hair. "I can't move my legs…" he concluded after countless attempts to lift his body off the damp grass. Instead, he was now lying there with both of his hands spread out. He took a minute to admire the elements that created the beautiful view he was witnessing, bringing a wide smile to his face. "You only live once," he said to himself, completely forgetting about his paralysed legs and undergoing yet another attempt to lift his legs off the ground. His angry groan drained out the firm footsteps of a woman with a tattoo similar to the cult members. "The Man of Stone," she teased, looking straight down at his paralysed body. "How depressing is it to see someone deemed a legend lying helplessly on the floor, with nobody to save him!?"

Yakasa grunted in anger, but he was too drained of energy to make any further reaction. Instead of leaning down to grab his body, she lifted her right hand to her chest and watched as it slowly creeped towards him, making a disturbing cracking sound. "You're mine!"

Just in time, a mighty force raced across the hills of the grassfield and collided with her chest, causing her to crash into a nearby hill. "Super Muscle Man!" a familiar voice exclaimed from inside the dust, revealing the face of Forrest just shortly after. "You really think I'm going to let you get kidnapped, huh?"
