Ji Eun didn't move. Not for a full two seconds. Her chest rose and fell slowly as she forced her breathing to steady.
Yuna hesitated. "Miss… are you alright?"
Ji Eun turned her head slightly, eyes calm again...too calm.
"I'm fine," she said.
Her voice was flawless.
Controlled.
But when Yuna left and the room became silent again, Ji Eun's hand rose unconsciously to her lips. She froze at the motion and lowered it immediately.
Furious.
Because she hated what it implied. She hated that he could walk into her carefully controlled day and leave it… tilted. She stared at the skyline, eyes narrowing.
"Tonight?" she whispered.
Then her gaze sharpened, colder than steel.
"Fine, I don't know your cards but you'll regret thinking you can set the rules."
And somewhere far below, the city kept moving - unaware that two people had just declared war in the language of heat and defiance.
And tonight...
Someone was going to lose ground.
