"You're leaving already?" Elara seemed on the verge of throwing a fit.
Sylas had technically only been back for three days or so. Half the time he spent at the bottom of the ocean, and the other half he had spent battling it out in the skies with damned alien invaders.
Well, there was also a significant portion of that time he had spent in his room with Cassarae, but that only added to Elara's disgruntlement.
She was actually quite used to spending a lot of time with her brother. She and Sylas used to play brain teaser games together all the time.
Had she ever won? No. But she felt like he stopped playing to dodge the embarrassment of losing to his little sister.
They had grown up quite close despite their age gap. There had even been times where Sylas would piggyback her while he went on runs, a tradition they had even kept up while on the Grimblade Clan compound.
Now, however, they hardly spent any time together at all. He hardly even replied to the messages she sent him.
