Third person POV
[Flashback ended, back to the present]
After breakfast, Reina went on patrol duty with Gen, Mara, Ichiro, Martha, and a squad under Nato to look out for any zombies. Ichiro went ahead to clear the way through the ruined city. Reina felt much better because of last night, and the Buenavista twins saw that and wondered what made him happy now.
"Um…Reina-kun…" Mara asked.
Reina then looked at her. "Yeah, what is it?"
"Are you okay now?" Martha asked while being worried for him.
"Ah, yes, I am, why?"
"You were strangely okay," one of Nato's squad members responded. "Did something happen last night?"
Not wanting to leak the fact that they did a strangely violent treatment last night, Reina and Gen lied that they did a therapy session to treat their mental illnesses.
Luckily, they bought it and didn't ask any more questions, much to the relief of Reina and Gen.
And then, Ichiro, who was on the top of a derelict truck, spotted something from a distance ahead of them and signalled to Reina and the others that whoever was coming their direction will meet them soon. "Oh, someone?" Gen asked.
Ichiro then nodded before pointing at the two silhouettes coming towards them.
In response, Reina and the others looked at that. Meanwhile, the two silhouettes are actually Tashio and Kashi, and upon encountering Gen and his men, Tashio went on revenge mode and pointed his assault rifle at them, opening fire at them while screaming aggressively.
"Get down!" Gen said to Reina and the others upon being alerted of the bullets speeding towards him and others.
Kashi was alerted by his father's actions and tried to calm things down, while Ichiro came down and tried to calm things down with Tashio without fighting him off.
Gen, Reina, and the others took cover on an overturned city bus, and Nato and his squad responded by trying to be in peace with Tashio.
But…
"I'll kill all of you!" Tashio shouted, before reloading his assault rifle and continuing to fire at Nato's squad in aggression for revenge.
"Calm down, Dad!" Kashi begged him in response, trying hard to stop the two sides from fighting.
But then, Gen recognized Tashio by his voice and said, "Tashio-san…" Glaring at Gen through his bloody gas mask, Tashio pointed his gun at him. "Yes, it's me, Gen-san. I will never forgive you for what you have done to me."
"Dad, please, no!" Kashi kept on begging.
