As the sun rises, the light of the sun peeks through the curtains into the bedroom, gently rousing a sleeping young man. He rubs his eyes and sits up on the bed, murmuring, "Morning already?"
The bedroom he woke up in looks similar to his own, yet lacking in modern technology. As he looked around the room, he felt that something is off. His phone is nowhere to be seen on the bedside table and what was on it is a glass sphere resting on a cushion, accompanied by a some books.
Where's my phone?
Just as he was going to look for his phone, the door was opened with a bang, the door was kicked. A girl of 12 years of age wearing a white blouse and maroon skirt, shouted, " Brother! Wake up!'
"Oh you're awake hehe!" The girl lowered her voice then told him to come down for breakfast before leaving, not closing the door.
The young man named Chen HaoYu was rooted on the spot, "Brother? Me?"
Looking at the opened door, a perplexing notion begins to form in his mind: could he have somehow transmigrated into another world? He recalled he didn't have any siblings. Yet, if he had indeed transmigrated, shouldn't he at least have some memories or knowledge about this world? Although he was full of questions, he still went down.
When he went down, he saw a middle aged man reading a newspaper and the girl eating in the dining area.
A woman came out of the kitchen from the side and saw him, " Ah Yu, wash up first before eating!"

He looked around before finding the bathroom, after washing up and sitting down he stared at them like he was reminiscing something because the middle aged man and the woman looked similar to his parents!
The woman looked at him, "Ah Yu, is something the matter? Why are you staring at us?"
"N-Nothing!" Shaking his head, he started eating.
After the meal, the middle aged man wore a black suit and the girl also wore a maroon blazer that has a golden star badge on her left chest.
"We'll be going mom!" The girl shouted.
"Okay, be safe the two of you!" The woman poked her head out of the kitchen.
Soon only Chen HaoYu and the woman were left. After the woman finished washing the dishes and went out, she saw Chen HaoYu, "Why are you still here? Can you not find any job?"
"Huh? Uh... Looking for job?"
"Yeah! Did you forget? Weren't you looking for a job because you wanted to live on your own? Ah Yu, did something happen?" The woman asked with concern.
"Uh, no, no, I'll go change and go now!" He hurriedly replied and went up to change.
The woman just looked at him with worry in her eyes.

After changing to a simple collared white shirt and pants he left the house.
The asphalt road and modernized building looked just like he was in modern Earth. The only things not resembling are the chariots passing by and people carrying swords, staff, axe, and other weapons.
He memorized some of the buildings near his house before walking away so he won't get lost. While walking around to familiarize himself, he also inteded to find a library to gain some knowledge of this world.
An hour later.
Passing by a billboard, a notice took his attention. Written on the notice was:

Seeing that they're offering a job at the library which he also needs to go to gain information, he tore off the notice.
Before long, he found a large building with a magnificent dome of glass crowning its grand exterior—the Grand Library. With its towering columns that rose to meet a domed roof of polished glass, allowing streams of sunlight to filter through and illuminating the entrance grandly below.
The library stood high above the surrounding buildings and the glass dome reflecting the changing hues of the sky and the dance of the stars at night. Its transparent surface revealing the vast expanse of the heavens, inspiring awe and wonder in all who beheld it.
As he approached the library, he was greeted by a wide staircase leading to an ornate doors of rich mahogany, flanked by two statues of legendary scholar and philosopher. Above the entrance, the library's name was emblazoned in elegant writing, a testament to its status as a bastion of learning and discovery.
Around the perimeter of the building, lush gardens bloomed with vibrant flowers and winding pathways. The air was alive with the hum of scholarly discourse and the rustle of turning pages, a symphony of intellect and imagination echoing through the halls of the grand library.
Entering the library, he quickly found an old man sitting behind the reception table, reading a book.
"Excuse me! I'm here to apply for the job!" Chen HaoYu said.
The old man raised his head and looked at him before asking, "What job are you applying for?"
"Um, the librarian position!"
"Ugh..." The old man closed the book and slowly stood up, "Help me get this book back to the shelf."
"Okay! But... Um, what do I need to do?" Chen HaoYu asked.
"Just sit there and don't let anyone sneak the books out. That's all!" The old man said before leaving the library.
"Okay?" He was thinking about why he only need to sit and watch for people sneaking the books out.
"Don't I need to do something like cleaning and checking the books? And what time should I come and get off? Are there holidays here?"
When he came to his senses, the old man was gone and he was still holding the book not knowing which shelf should he put it back because the library was too big for him to check.
"I forgot to ask him where he got this book. Anyway I'll try to check later."
Putting the book aside, he sat down where the old man was sitting earlier and just as he sat down a magical energy gush straight to his ass or more precisely his Zhi Shi acupuncture point which made him jump and squeak.
The passersby stopped to look at him, prompting him to force a smile to hide his embarrassment as he released his hands, which had been clutching his butt.
Then he looked at the wooden chair, he touched and move the chair to some distance before trying to sit down but the same magical energy still gush out of it.
He touched the chair with his hands and even put his foot on it, but no magical energy gush out. It was only when he sat down that the energy erupted.
"What the hell is going?"
Not knowing what's happening he could only stand for the time being.
"I should ask the old man what's going on."
4 hours later.
"Ugh... My legs are sore... Why is there only one chair here?"
Shaking his legs, he looked at the clock above the entrance doors which is already pointing at noon time. It was already lunch time but the old man still did not return.
"Do I close for lunch?"
Just as he was thinking what to do, a lady wearing a white dress and carrying a small leather shoulder bag entered the library, walking towards him.
The girl noticed him and asked, "Um, are you a new worker here?"
"Uh, yeah! Are you also a staff here?" Mesmerized by her beauty, he answered a second later.
"Yes! It should be my turn now for watching the library." The girl smiled.
"But... Uh... How long is the work for watching the library? I'm new and I didn't manage to ask earlier about my schedule. Hehe!" Chen HaoYu asked.
"Eh? Who did you meet earlier? Usually they'll tell you what to do!" Putting her bag aside.
"It was an old man..."
"The chairman? You met the chairman?" The girl asked in shocked.
"Uh, I don't know..."
"Was he sitting here while reading a book?" The girl pointed at the chair.
"Yeah! That's right!" He nodded.
" I see, well I'll tell you your schedule then since I'm the only one who is assigned here in the library."
The girl then began explaining to him about the opening and closing of the library and that the chairman usually stays here to watch in the morning or sometimes for a whole day.
"My time for watching the library is noon till closing and though the salary is small but staying here in the library is beneficial to you." The girl said before sitting down.
"Ah! You... Your not getting hurt?" Chen HaoYu asked when he saw the girl sat down on the chair he was trying to sit earlier.
"Oh? Why? Did you panic when you felt the magic energy?" The girl laughed a little.
"Magic energy?"
"Yeah! Sitting here will help you in your cultivation, that's why I said that it's beneficial to you."
"I see..." He replied perfunctorily, not wanting to show that he didn't know anything.
"Can I stay here and read some books after I had lunch?" Chen HaoYu asked so that he can know more about this world.
"Of course! The library is open for everyone!" The girl smiled.
"Alright! Ah, I'm Chen HaoYu!"
