Chapter 257 - A Taste of Home {257}

Time skip.

Eventually, Shoko was awakened from her slumber, she had napped on Keitaro's chest for the last 5 hours.

He didn't seem to mind nor care that she did that.

She gave him a kiss, she found herself growing more comfortable in his gaze.

"You always know how to make me feel safe, don't you?"

He chuckled lightly running his hand through her hair.

"Well guess, I am doing my job right," He said giving her a light kiss.

"You are indeed" She mutters, jeez work was draining her.

"You know you can stop working so hard right?" He said in quite a gentle voice, he knew she didn't like working but she still did it.

"I am the only person at jujutsu high who can output Rct, your pills my dear cannot regrow back loss of vital organs"

Well, she was right, but jeez, he wouldn't want her to drain her Rct pool for that.

"It's fine, I learned how to heal the soul now, still take me a while" She mutters the last part a bit to herself.

"Soul Damage is not really common," He said calmly.

He was right, Soul damage was rare, like very rare, unless someone had a curse technique that attacked the soul or a curse tool for it.

Soul damage wasn't that common.

"Say the man who constantly as to heal from soul damage," She said looking at him.

"Hey, it's not my fault the curse I fight has hacks that negate conventional durability," He said looking at his wife, she just smiled at him as if she found this funny.

She smiled a bit, and she then lazily lay herself on top of him, yeah, he was not moving until she got her proper amount of sleep, not that he was complaining though.

"There's this Aquarium nearby, Want to go see it later?" He asked, hm, was he asking her out on a date?

"Are you asking me for a date?" She made eye contact with him in order to see the emotions in his eyes as he replied to her.

"Well yeah, me marrying you doesn't mean I will stop trying to find fun stuff for us to do," Keitaro said calmly.

She smiled at him.

Keitaro's POV: At Jujutsu High

Keitaro could be seen at Jujutsu High, he wore a different pair of clothing...One, it was a new day, 2, he didn't feel like wearing the same clothes he wore last night.

Tengen's barriers were as good as he last remembered them.

He had just gone to the nearby shop to buy some basic food to restock the house on supplies, before going back he wanted to see that Yuta Okkotsu guy.

As he entered the building, memory began loading in, yup, he remembered this place like the back of his hand, this place also hadn't changed at all since his last visit.

He entered the classroom where Gojo was in the middle of—well, being Gojo.

"You see, Yuta, exorcising curses is all about style! You've got to—" Gojo's exaggerated movements and dramatic tone cut off the moment he spotted Keitaro entering the room.

A grin spread across Gojo's face as he pointed dramatically.

"Minato! So glad you could join us!"

And this was why Keitaro did not associate with this in public; he always had to do that.

Keitaro groaned a bit, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"For the last time, Satoru, stop calling me that."

"Oh, come on! The resemblance is uncanny! Besides, it's my duty to keep you humble," Satoru teased, striking a mock-serious pose.

Keitaro crossed his arms, giving him a pointed look.

If he could, he would smack Satoru in the head right now, though he wasn't in the mood for that shenanigans.

"Last I checked, I'm still in the lead."

"Not for long," Satoru shot back with a wink.

"Say whatever you want, I am currently still the strongest sorcerer alive," Keitaro said dryly to which Satoru stuck out his tongue.

"Don't get too comfortable on my throne"

Yeah, this was their relationship.

Keitaro ignored Satoru's antics, he then turned his attention to the students in the room.

"Good morning," he greeted, his voice calm and authoritative.

The students responded almost in unison.

"Good morning, Keitaro-sensei."

His gaze swept over the group before stopping at the only person in the room with no Ce.

"Maki, have you been training well? Eating properly?"

He sounded like a caring father. Well, to be fair, he was technically a dad, even if she could at best be his little sister; either that or Maki's mom had an affair with a 10-year-old.

Maki was 16, about to be 17, and Keitaro was 26, about to be 27, so roughly a 10-year gap. So yeah, a sister maybe, but oh well, she was his daughter now.

Maki straightened up, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush as she nodded.

"Yes, father," she replied, a mix of respect and embarrassment in her tone.

This was good, she ate and all.

"Maki a daddy girl" Panda teased in the background, which earned him a stern glare from Maki...oh shit, she was going to beat his ass later.

She wouldn't beat him that badly now would she?

Panda would be found with several fist-shaped marks all over his body later that day.

As Keitaro eventually landed on Yuta, Keitaro couldn't help but notice the way Yuta seemed to be making himself look smaller, as if he was avoiding his gaze.

Yuta felt his heart skip a beat as Keitaro's piercing gaze locked onto him.

Wait... this was Keitaro Namikaze?

The room seemed to grow smaller as Yuta's mind raced...

In Keitaro's eyes however, he saw a chain between Yuta and a girl's soul....the soul's strongest point wasn't on Yuta but on the girl which meant, she was the one bound to Yuta, she was the one that was cursed.

"I haven't seen you before, what is your name?" Keitaro said in his usual calm tone.

"...Y...Yu...Yuta...Okkotsu"

"Calm down Yuta, Keitaro won't eat you" Satoru teased to which Keitaro sighed a bit.
