The door disappeared.
One moment it had stood at the end of the North Wing, dark and ancient, carrying the three symbols that had left Salvador and Ella speechless.
The next moment, there was nothing.
Only the cold stone wall remained.
Salvador stared at it.
He reached forward and touched the wall.
Solid.
No hidden passage.
No door.
Nothing.
Ella stood beside him, her eyes still fixed on the place where the entrance had been.
"Did you see it?"
"Yes."
"You heard the voice too?"
"Yes."
She slowly looked at him.
"Three."
Salvador nodded.
"Hope. Heaven. Faith."
Marcus remained silent.
Salvador turned toward him.
"You know something."
Marcus looked at the wall.
"I know enough to be concerned."
"Then tell us."
"I don't know what the source intended."
"You just said the source never shows a future without a reason."
"That doesn't mean I understand the reason."
Salvador stepped closer.
