Okay, so only a day or so had now passed. Which was just about how long it had been, since me and Sakura had gone and transformed the Wood Card, the Thunder Card, and the Glow Card, into three more Star Cards. And this had also been how long since me and Sakura, had both had to use both the Maze Card and the Illusion Card. But as for why we both had to use and transform both the Wood Card, Thunder Card, and Glow Card? Well that was because when me, Sakura, and Li had all been present at our towns shrine yesterday. A horse carving had suddenly come to life from out of seemingly nowhere. And this was also a the same time, in which me, Sakura, and Li, had all once again proceeded to sense the presence, of Clow Reed.
And thankfully, despite both me and Sakura having been unsuccessful, with using the Wood Card in order to help us defeat the horse carving. Both me and Sakura had been able, with Li's help of course, to use the Thunder Card, in combination with one of Li's elemental talismans. We were both able to then make quick work of the horse carving.
But as it would happen, as with regard to the current moment, this wasn't exactly on either me or Sakura's mind. Because well, as with regard to me and Sakura's current situation...
"Oh come on, snowmen?! Really?!" I had proceeded to go and shout out in what was clearly a somewhat angry and frustrating sounding tone to my voice. Because as it would happen, both me and Sakura, were currently having to deal with a large amount of living snowmen. Which along with me and Sakura currently being surrounded by snow. We were both currently forced to skate around on what used to be schools courtyard. Only now it had completely frozen over with ice. But then, I then got an idea that would hopefully wind up getting me and Sakura out of this current predicament.
And since me and Sakura already had our respective Star staffs in hand, I had then proceeded to quickly pull out the Snow Card. And as I then proceeded to quickly throw the Snow Card up into the air. Me and Sakura both then proceeded to quickly raise our respective Star staffs. "We call upon the power of our stars, ancient forces near and far, Snow Card discard your former might, and draw your power from our might, Star Card!" Me and Sakura both proceeded to chant together in unison. Which as the wings on each of our Star staffs proceeded to expand and grow outwards a little bit. This then prompted the Snow Card to stop spinning, which was then quickly followed by the new design to show up on both the front and the back of it. Which was blue on one side, and pink on the other. And as the Snow Card spirit appeared, and had then proceeded to quickly conjure up a huge gust of wind and snow. This then caused all of the living snowmen to evaporate into nothing. And at least for the time being, me and Sakura had managed to get out of what had been yet another tight bind. And most importantly, we had managed to transform the Snow Card, into yet another Star Card. And now fast forwarding to a little later in day.
"Well, I guess this is really the only way to truly learn what will possibly wind up happening, once me and Sakura have transformed all of the remaining Clow Cards into Star Cards. But still, I was hoping that there was a different way, then me and Sakura having to transform and use the Return Card. But seeing as how there isn't any other option that either me or Sakura can think of. This is sort of how this needs to get done." I had proceeded to think to myself. As since me and Sakura were currently unsure, as to what would actually wind up happening, once the rest of the Clow Card had been transformed into Star Cards. We had decided to use the Return Card, to travel into the past, in order to get the answers that we both needed from the very sorcerer who created the Clow Cards in the first place, Clow Reed.
And so without either me or Sakura wanting to waste any more time. We had both proceeded to pull out our respective Star keys.
"Key of the stars, with powers burning bright, reveal the staff, and shine your light, Release!" Me and Sakura both chanted in unison. And after a sever gust of wind and sand. Both of our respective Star Keys expanded into our respective Star Staffs. Which was then followed by both of us then proceeding to quickly grab them with a quick over handed gasp. To which we both then proceeded to quickly twirl them, and then quickly finish off with our usual respective battle ready poses.
And without me or Sakura needing to exchange any words between either of us. I then proceeded to quickly throw the Return Card up into the air. As as it spun in place above us both. Both me and Sakura both then proceeded to once again quickly raise our respective Star staffs. "We call upon the power of our stars, ancient forces near and far, Return Card discard your former might, and draw your power from our might, Star Card!" Me and Sakura both proceeded to chant together in unison. Which as the wings on each of our Star staffs proceeded to expand and grow outwards a little bit. This then prompted the Return Card to stop spinning, which was then quickly followed by the new design to show up on both the front and the back of it. Which was blue on one side, and pink on the other. And as the Return Card spirit appeared, and had then proceeded to quickly fly around me and Sakura. The scene around us, had then proceeded to suddenly get very bright.
And once the light around both me and Sakura had proceeded to quickly die down, after a couple more seconds. I had then proceeded to go and quickly look around, and upon me and Sakura proceeding to look over to our right, we then noticed a male figure that we both recognized almost immediately. As sitting near a nearby tree, was the one and only Clow Reed. And it was then, that me and Sakura went over to Clow Reed, in order for the both of us to attempt to try and get answers to our questions from him.
But the only trouble was, was that Clow Reed wound up being somewhat cryptic, with explaining his answers to both me and Sakura. And it was only once I had proceeded to quickly remember back to when me and Sakura had first arrived back in the past. Did I then remember seeing what was clearly a house, that I now realized, looked exactly like Eli Moon's house. And then...
"Wait hold on a moment here, doesn't Eli Moon own a house exactly like Clow Reeds? Okay let me push this to the side for the time being, as since me and Sakura have gotten the information that we both need. I think it is now time for the both of us to return back to the present," I had then proceeded to quickly think to myself. And then, as I proceeded to quickly turn my attention over to Sakura...
"Sakura, I think that it is now time for us to return back to the present don't you?" I had then proceeded to ask over to Sakura. And thankfully, Sakura already had the Return Card in her hand, and was already prepared to throw it up into the air. And so without either me or Sakura needing to exchange anymore words between either of us.
Sakura then proceeded to quickly throw the Return Card up into the air. As as it spun in place above us both. Both me and Sakura both then proceeded to once again quickly raise our respective Star staffs. "Return!" Me and Sakura both proceeded to chant together in unison. Which as the wings on each of our Star staffs proceeded to expand and grow outwards a little bit once again. This then prompted the Return Card to stop spinning, which was then quickly followed by the appearance of Return Card spirit. To which it had then proceeded to quickly fly around me and Sakura. And it was then, that scene around the both of us, had then proceeded to once again get very bright.
But, what neither me or Sakura knew, was that our toughest challenge yet was about to begin. And just like the Final Judgment, if me and Sakura wound up failing, it would not just wind up affecting us as well as our friends. But it would wind up having an equally negative impact, on those whom we didn't even know we were still destined to run into. But that is something for a later chapter.
