There must be a method for long-distance signal transmission to attract another purple worm of a different gender to come searching.
This signal definitely can't be transmitted too close; it must be akin to a whale's thousand-mile call.
"Yes," replied the Enlightenment Purple Worm affirmatively, "All purple worms can emit a pulse signal from the Earth, which only we can sense.
Through this Earth pulse, we can broadly understand each other's status, location, and distance, facilitating our mating and reproduction."
"How far does the Earth pulse signal travel?" Gaven asked.
"This depends on the Life Dice of the worm emitting the signal, measured at one Life Dice per ten kilometers." The Enlightenment Purple Worm truthfully answered.
"Between 150 kilometers and 200 kilometers!" Gaven nodded knowingly.
This is a trait of the multiverse, where many things are tied to the Life Dice.
