「Early in the morning.」
Shen Jing got up and went to the front courtyard for breakfast, where she happened to see Zhou Xiangqun returning home, followed by Xiaozhang, who was carrying his briefcase.
It seemed he didn't love to joke with her as much anymore.
They maintained a normal familial relationship upon meeting. Sometimes he smiled; other times, he would politely remind her, "Second Grandmother is waiting for you for breakfast."
As they brushed past each other, Shen Jing turned her head. "Aren't you eating, Big Brother?"
Zhou Xiangqun nodded and gave her a faint smile. "I just came back from having beef noodles in the alley."
Shen Jing let out a lengthy "Oh."
"Which shop? I'll go tomorrow too," she asked again, her eyes on his retreating figure, immaculate despite his thirty-six years.
Zhou Xiangqun stopped in his tracks and responded, "Huji."
Shen Jing's figure had already passed through the long corridor and down the stairs, heading to the living room for breakfast.
